The lighter you can keep things the better.

What brand is the seat, it does not have the usual logos splashed over it?

Did your last rig consist of a GameRacer Pro cockpit? Or did you build your own?

Ok a lot of faffing about making levers and drilling holes.

Got the Base shape of the platform done and think I got my measurements all right for the arms will have to see when I eventually mount it.

This is coming together so quick! I'm super impressed at the speed you're getting this done. Can't wait to see it finished!

@Leo Burton yes I like to get stuff done quick as possible as I have no patience, I will hopefully have it up and moving by the end of the week. At least that's my plan :)

Coming along well, I certainly need some patience, as I'm making yet further modifications/improvements (now waiting for more parts) to my DIY actuators before I nail down the design and building all the others (back to a 6DOF - explain more later in my thread). How wide is your base - its hard to tell?

I think wood is an excellent building material when it is designed properly so the stresses put on it don't end up tearing it apart! And it is easily cut and milled also making it faster to build with than steel; especially if you're not a welder! ;) Keep up the good work @SilentChill! :thumbs

Make sure that you use lots of 47000uF 50v caps in parallel with each PSU. Then it might work...

@SeatTime the Base is 1370mm wide. Glad you have gone back to 6DOF can't wait to see you finally start building it

Thanks @BlazinH there are lots of threaded bar holding it together along with screws :)

@tronicgr hopefully I won't need the extra caps but will keep it in mind if it trips out.

    Ok another quick update.

Laid out where stuff gonna be there or there abouts.

Get it all wired up fastened down and may be able to give it a test

Probably will box it all in once I have it all up and running and it doesn't fall to pieces.

I will probably will have to change a few things to firm and stiffen it up a bit once I have it working.
