    Hello!
After a stormy party in speakers diffusers torn, it was a pity to throw out them (it was good "pumped" sound), so I decided to bring them a second life, the pictures can explain technology, after connected to the amplifier at lower frequencies the effect is stunning :thumbs
    - If placed under the fifth point, the effect of immersion in the game ensured.

looks good, how did you set it up, with Simtools? or purely the sound from the game?
    Cheers, David.
    And whats the fifth point?

    - I connect by audio amplifier, sound from the game (though I have two amplifiers, the first sound for the middle range sound, second (more powerful) I use for the subwoofers.
    - and that Simtools is possible to connect an audio amplifier ?
    - is a conditional definition of the place on which we are sitting:grin, the first point of we usually think.

Nice project @Ashraf ... give us a preview of the wiring and your recommendation of amplifiers to use ...

Well it seems like you've got your butt-kicker working so I'm sorry but I don't want to see a video for that in a stereo level ... kidding :grin

It occurred to me that I game with headphones on, so I will need to figure out how I create 2 sound outputs.

    Hi Ashraf!
Well done! I have done some DIY buttkickers and burnt all of them ;-)
What kind of glue did you use?
    And how much weight?
    Yours

Really google translator distorted the meaning?
    - under the fifth point on which everything means we are sitting: - chair, sofa, etc. and you thought about what man? :think
    I use spray foam
    - weight of what ? weight of speaker ? For something to improve the effect, there is an idea to add to the central bolt additional weight.

    bsft,
If you're using the on-board sound card now, just purchase an add-in sound card, configure it for sim-vibe output and you're home free.

I've found you can get reasonable performance with a separate amp for some cheap bass shakers and headphones, im currently trying to figure out how to get all the surround effects out of the headphones with just the outputs from an external sound card.

Hi @shanothegreat, do a search for "Turtle beach DSS2" sound processor - surround sound from a stereo output.

    Thanks Mike,

I had a look at the specs, its sort of where I'm going, as in it would be great for the full 5.1, 7.1 through the headset except I would still be looking to splice into the output to run a separate sub channel for vibration effects.

I know that someone out there will say stop being a tight-ass and spend some money on sim-vibe, maybe I will. A guy I just did a job for is a sound engineer and was telling me I can assign the outputs on my motherboards sound card to something different than what they are labelled.

My rig is a triple screen set up with a swing away keyboard, acts as a bit of a work station, great for watching movies too. I noticed that I didn't have any speech when watching "Skyfall" very disappointed, great bass in the movie (sim) chair with the headphones on.

I'll persevere for the moment with reassigning the 3.5mm jacks and see what I can come up with.

    Appreciate your reply

    Shane

As far as gaming goes, hang in there. Simtools developers are still working on bass shaker support via a separate sound card.

Here is what I use in the interim:

    http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/VirtualCables.htm

This allows me to copy the audio to a separate sound card and then use this card for my bass shakers. Both cards are volume/mixer adjustable so I can still control the volume of the game/movie, etc and control the amount of base being output by the second card.

    Hi David!
Windows allows to redirect sounds between two cards... without any software.
I did this with Win7: I can do some screenshots if you want.

    Okay!
    What I have:
    - a soundcard on my motherboard ("Realtek")
    - and a PCI Soundblaster board ("Audigy")

    What we intend to do:
-> make the Audigy "listening" the sound stream produced by the "realtek"

    What we get:
    - two distinct control levels
    melangeur 2 cartes.png

    First:
1/ you need to enhance the "Stereo Mixer"
it is located on "Recording" tab

    - update your driver (At first, I didn't and was stuck)
    - in english here: http://www.sagebrush.com/mixtech.htm

    whatuv_7.jpg

2/ the mixer is bound to my Realtek and I make it listen Audigy sound card

tada! after some trials and errors (the windows logic maybe weird), it will work!

    Yes! or even 2.1

Check what kind of slot you have (pci, ...) before buying ;-))

Hi, I'd like to use a buttkicker in my cockpit. Can you say me the cheapest amplifier to use with a buttkicker?? I don't want to spend a lot of money.

    Thanks in advance
    Best regards

Amplifier? Money? You don't need anything of that, for sure there are friends of yours that can kick your butt for free :grin
