    Hi guys

Im trying to start building profiles and play.
I have sorted pitch, roll, heave and surge. im struggling with the traction loss however. ive got it on 10 at the minute and it just seems to smash me left and right with the slightest movement of the wheel which makes it un-enjoyable. I have seen about the tuning centre and setting min and max but its not showing up. i must be overlooking something but i cant find it at all.
    All help appreciated
    cheers all

@crammy are you using extra1 for TL I think that's recommended?

(one) of the reasons I recommended him to upload screenshots. Why we have to remember our members about this all the time? lol

Hi guys. On the axis assignment screen i have set the traction loss as extra 1, with a figure of 10

Not gonna work @ 10%, 100% for TL will give you smooth TL action.....Beware tho, Dont Run a Small Tuning center #....this will also give the "snap side to side" feeling....this is where you really want linearity in your movement.. You want the TL axis to slowly work out as the car looses traction......Not for the TL axis to slam side to side with the slightest amount of steering lock added.

TL is a Tricky beast to get set properly, so i suggest you take your time and do it AFTER you've tuned in the other forces. Your a Rookie, you dont know what your supposed to be feeling at times....so take it slow and ONE FORCE AT A TIME please....

I suggest also a dead zone filter on TL. As @Nick Moxley already mentioned you can use the complete percentage of the TL axis but use high tuning center values at minimum of 7 or 8. The dead zone helps avoiding the breaking out of TL f. e. while fast turning the wheel but the car is still stable on track.

Thanks @Nick Moxley I will have a go at that. it was very snappy. i had it set to 60 at first and was just bouncing left and right with the slightest touch of the wheel going down the straights. i lowered to ten but was doing the same just not as much movement. ill have a play with that tonight mate

For me in both AC and Dirt. I need a Tuning center value of 18-20

You had the Tuning center # too low.......what game are we talking here ? What kinda cars are you testing ?

DONT Run less than 90-95% Axis on the Traction loss....you want ALL the travel you can get.

Curious Do you understand how the Axis %'s and Tuning center relate to each other ?

@Nick Moxley I hadnt used the tuning centre at all as i couldn't find it so just installed the plugin with the pre installed tuning centre settings and played with the axis. @Pit showed me how to find the tuning centre so i am going to drive round carefully and set the min/max. When i meant i dropped from 60 to 10 i meant the percentage in axis assignments. I have the limits set to 90% on all actuators.
I am playing AC at the moment on he GT-R GT3 and the M3 E30. i haven't purchased any other packs yet.
I appreciate i am a newbie and there is a lot to learn, so am really grateful for the help and support that the forum gives and the superb software.
Not at the minute but i shall hopefully get it soon. i do understand the axis though. ill have another read also. Im home from work now

WOW what a difference. I went onto the tuning centre and all the values were set to zero. I done the min and max but then changed the TL to 10. Im really looking forward to understanding all the info fully. cheers guys

Go bigger for Traction loss,......18 as i suggested....you want A lot of linearity in the axis....you dont want to be feeling the Traction loss frame going side to side @ 300km/h on the strait.

Thanks nick, I will do. I dismantled it after testing and am just rebuilding it now. I wanted to move the centre of gravity forward 150mm to take some stress off the rear actuators. I knew I was going uphill but downhill was a lot slower. When I tested the outputs the rear 2 actuators were really slow with my 14 stone and it was all rear heavy. Hoping to be up and running in a couple of hours so will report back.
