    Hi

I have just tested my Scn5's and proved all wiring good with Rfactor
    http://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/factor-demo-nolimits-demo-cant-get-working.8624/

But as i do not have my oculus or the PC build yet, I wanted to get working with XBOX one.
This suggests it can be done.
    http://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/project-cars-udp-alternate-plugin.159/

But I am confused, and read in circles.
Could anybody point me in the right direction.

XBOX one / Pcars output is UDP
i have it working with dash apps on iPad.

But because of profiles and patching in simtools, i am lost to where to start to get data from xbox one to simtools via UDP

I looked at http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?40113-COMPLETE-Companion-app-UDP-streaming and was boggled.

So not expecting somebody to rewrite a guide for me, but could anyone advise a todo list to get this working, and I can go and read up the bits I need to do.

    Thank you

Not that I even own a Xbox, but your going to need a PC to host SimTools and read the UDP data from the XBox.

    Hi again SeatTime
Yes I have sim tools on a pc (my HTPC) - forgot to mention that part!
    and Pcars in xbox one
Both on same network hard wired.

how to make them talk, or direction to go in - I'm lost.

I'm sorry if answers are hear somewhere, i have literally read like 200 posts of info in last fortnight, and seriously hurt my head!
Nothing more annoying for good members / helpers as yourself, if people don't attempt to find out them selves.

OFF TOPIC but related: I sell canvas art prints, size is listed in CM, customers from USA will email to ask what that is in inches, which takes longer than googling themselves.

If I remember this properly you need a scrip to also enable SimTools as it cannot tell when the game is active like it would if the game was on the same PC. Recommend you search for this in the relevant thread.

I have now done that, and now it does say GAME RUNNING

But still nothing moving in game engine testing visual axis

I'l try rebooting everything now I am a step closer. thank you!!!!!

    EDIT: tried rebooting, still nothing.

i did'nt read the whole treat... but... as far as i know... you can'nt use xbox and simtools... if you want project cars... your simplest and maybe only posible way is use a pc for both pcars and simtools...

one member was able to read data out of a playstation game, but he was running a playstation emulator in the same pc he was running simtools...

but... again... since project cars is available on pc... i guess you dont have to make nothing hard.

    best regards

    fer

If the Xbox game is putting out UDP on a set IP/Port address and a plugin for Simtools has been built to read it then it should work. Unfortunately I do not even own a Xbox to try it out. I'm sure I have seen a video showing this working on this site - good luck.
