Hi, new to this site and simulation.
I found this site while searching alternative for SimVibe, I am planing to use it for just bass shakers no motion (don't have the budget for that). Is it possible with this software.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but like I said tottaly newbie.

    Welcome @Stickys.

SimTools 1.3, the current version, does not support transducers, but SimTools 2.0, which is in closed beta testing, will add new functionality such as transducer support, called Game Vibe: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/simtools-2-0-question-and-answer.8175/

The core testing for the new SimTools framework is nearly complete and once it is the developer @yobuddy will concentrate on the extended features, like Game Vibe, which will be in active development even after SimTools 2.0 is released.

Here is some early transducer testing by @eaorobbie: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/aura-shaker-ast-2b-4-with-bk-g2-amp.6981/#post-80343

Hi noorbeast, thanks for your reply.
That's an exciting news, but I guess I'll just have to wait.

Hi, Im NoreiT and joined to get more information and buy 1 year access to SimTools Plugins to have plugins immediately (plugins are awesome, I would love to have plugin for Forza Apex (if they would support wheels). I builded 2DOF sim by Matt (thanks for all the inspiration) - I can create some documentation also. Currently I want to rebuild seat/wheel/pedals holder, but dont have much time now. Thanks for all the work I wouldnt be able to do myself (program plugins), appreciate it!

Hello, I have just finished a Steward-Platform for 6 DOF simulation application. We are able to control by interface in computer, now we want to combine with a racecar software to make full simulation. Can you suggest me how can we do it step by step?

My name is Paul from Adelaide, Australia.

I'm running a 3 screen setup with a Fanatec CSW wheel and V1 pedal set. Now moving up to a motion sim, hence why I am here.

Have been reading a lot of the past few days and will not doubt have a ton of questions, so I'll pass on my thanks in advance :)

Any members that you know of in Adelaide?

One quick question straight up - what are guys using locally for the universal joint on a seat mover setup?

There are more but both @GIB SimRacing and @Alexey are 2 active members who live around Adelaide.

Cutting down an old tailshaft from a RWD car is perfect for a sim.

    Hi All,

Been running Assetto Corsa for a few years now and just come across Sim Tools ...

I'm trying to drive a fan via Ardunio (for wind speed) ... I have installed SimTools, Game Dash and the Assetto Corsa plugin ... have configure Game Dash with COM5 and set serial protocol, but when i start Assetto Corsa i'm not seeing any dash values in the Game Dash settings GUI ?

I used this guide as a base (obviously using AC plugin)

    http://jared.bienz.com/2014/12/19/create-your-own-superfan/

Game Engine, Game Manager and Game Dash are all running in the tool bar ?

Is the current Assetto Corsa (Early Access) still working with the latest release of Assetto Corsa (V1.7.3)

Hope to get this working soon ...

    Cheers
    Jay

UPDATE: My bad i didn't have the enable Dash option ticked in the Game Manger dialogue got live data values now ... Speed = <DASH1> ... should be able to get data value to Arduino now :)

Well said Igor. I can thank you and only you and not miss anyone else. I' getting my thanks in early.

Hi I'm Tony as some may have guessed from my nick. I have been into hacking together something with computers for 40 plus years. Growing up at a great time when it was expected of you to at least try and build something with both your hands and your mind.. Everyday coming here I am learning more and that is always exciting.

Hoping to build myself a little toy to go fast on.

Thanks for the welcome and sorry that my first post (in this thread) was a question. I've been sim racing for many many years and have built many rigs and add on projects and software. I've been a user of SimCommander4 (for simVibe) for just over a year now and want to start adding some articulation but the Sim Commander software interface is clunky (and expensive). So I have been looking around for an alternative and ended up here.

I've always found forums the best source of information and help and there seem s to be plenty of that here, My fan project is just a simple way of getting used to SimTools before jumping into bigger things ....

Going back to my last post though ... since Assetto Corsa is now a fully released product maybe the next release of the plugin should loose the EA reference in the name ... just a thought.

    Cheers
    Jay

    Hello all!

Found this whilst looking for a software package to connect some games up to our 6DOF stewart platform. Hope to have it running as a racing simulator for Formula SAE
