    Welcome @Guy Baz and @RobVene.

@Guy Baz there is a Project Cars plugin that uses UDP to get data from a PS4, though a computer is still needed for SimTools: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/project-cars-udp-alternate-plugin.159/

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

We have a glossary for all those acronyms we tend to use, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Hi, first time poster, noob in this hobby
Looking to build a moving simulator - like the chair with the 2 poles at the back and 2 motors creating the movement that looks the way I may go/
from what I've gleaned thi is called 2DOF ?
Still undecided on a single large curved screen or 3 screens
I'll read the FAQ now before I'm flamed :)

Great work all those out there that had had great success.
Looking forward to getting going now.

thank you for the welcome -
I have found a fabricator that will build the steel frame for circa £ 200 along the SimExperience frame design so thats a result! just got to draw up my plans ( when I find a suitable seat for the dimensions)

Can anyone tell me the name of the fixing eye that secures the rods on the 2DOF . its appears to be free floating to allow movement but I cant for the life of me find its name so I can order some.

    thanks again
