Hello All My name is Greg. I'm From Cleveland, Ohio U.S.A I found this site after seeing a Wind Simulator and thought I would try to build one. I don't have motion on my rig now but i would like to have it some day. I've found the parts for the Wind Simulator build on EBay but I'm not sure if they're what I need. I'm was also wondering what type of power supply to get I'm planning on using 2 Seaflo 4"in-line blowers 6amps each that Avenga76 used in his build. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated I don't know how to solder so I would like to get the boards with the Header Pins installed if that would make my build easier. Thanks Greg

    Hi there,

my name is Juergen, I`m 48 years old an live in the southern part of Germany (where the Oktoberfest is ;-)

Recently I was in a theme park an hat the opportunity to drive a race sim game (GT-??? on a PS3) with a worn Logitech wheel and a broken shifter, but ist was much fun :)

So I decided to strip down my flight sim (ok, I disassembled the joystick an pedals) to reuse as racig sim, quickly bought a fanatec Porsche GT3 wheel with pedals an downloaded rF2 demo. Even much more fun :)))

Next steps are a more non-prototyp sim rig, 3DOF seat mover, surround sound, etc...

    Ok, so far, keep racing.

Brazil'm Personnel and am now getting the site sorry if I'm not in the right area, but I'm happy to have found you guys, I have tried to time to build a homemade wheel with forcebeck but now found the right class thanks to all
    Google Translate -
as well I did not understand?

By all means post in your native language but please do also include an English translation via Google Translate. It saves other members time trying to work out who may need help and who is just posting a comment.

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language groups so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

There is a specific section for native language based social interactions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/#international-social-chats-and-conversations.155

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

For wheels look at existing member projects in the peripherals section: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steering-wheels.65/

We have a glossary for all those acronyms we tend to use, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

    Hi there,

I am new to the forum and to the site.
For many years I work as a consultant and software developer.
My bnewest hobby is to play around with Microcontrollers.

Last week I started to code a 6DOF Platform controller for the Teensy. The simulations work very well.
So next is to build a prototype of the platform. Material is ordered :)

If everything works well, I want to build my own 6DOF platform and want to use it with Elite Dangerous.

As soon as the Prototypes are up and running I will post my project plan here.

I am looking foreard to discussing with you ;)

Hi all. I have just joined and I am amazed at what is going on in this community. I've been in the sim modding scene for a long time and I'm excited to see something similar for motion sims :).
