    Hi guys,

My name is Artur and I come from Poland, but of 4 years I leave in Germany.

I'm new into Driving Simulator, but when I found one while researching the web for a good steering wheel for I saw complete 3 DoF driving simulator. And at the same time, when I saw it, said to myself - "I must have it"!

Now I'm found any interesting information about build one. at this moment I have only DIY Arcade Machine based on Xbox Console with CoinOPS and over 4000 games :p It's nice to see another machine next to my Arcade Machine Cabinet :p

I think about 2DoF sim with 3 monitors and Fanatec Steering Wheel.

I think I would find any necessary information how to make it :D Of course I'm counting on your help :D

Thanks a lot for links :D They're very usefull :)

I Think I can do it, and probably build one 2DoF (maybe 3DoF) based on Arduino. My goal is make it compatible with PC and consoles, because it seems to me that Arduino with Motor Driver is a good choice ;)

Next gallery will be rather with my race sim I think :D

    Hi all,

My name is Simon and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I've just joined up as a member after finding this website via a link.

I've recently built a basic 2DOF system without realising that the SimTools software existed. It looks like a much better way to do things!

My system is not a full motion rig, but a simply a head motion rig. It basically consists of two servo motors that push/pull a helmet longitudinally and laterally via cable on each side. For my first attempt at something like this it actually worked out pretty well and provides great immersion. At the moment it only works with Assetto Corsa since instead of using SimTools I created a simple Python App that sends the acceleration signals to an Arduino.

I will upload some pics and further details soon, but don't have time right at the moment.

I look forward to learning a lot more from this community and hopefully expanding my project!

    Cheers.

    Hi there,

My name is Nuno and I come from Portugal.

I'am not a Top Racer, but i have Fun with it. My Favorite Sim is Pcars for PS4 and Raceroom For PC.

I found this Forum / Community on the Search for Selfmade Motion Simulators.
I have build my own cockpit but no 2 or 3dof
This should be replaced realy soon and the new Contruction will become a 2 or 3 DOF - if anything goes right.

This Community should be the right place to exchange ideas and get some help i think

Thank you this website, I'm Don. I'm a new Sim Racing which is trying to study motion simulation.
I'm not sure how to make the motion simulation, please suggest me.

    Hello,
My name is Mateusz, i am from Warsaw.
I have a longterm plan tu built a very good motion system siumulator with appropriate forces at right time. Plan is to make simulator with appropriate forces at right time, most of motion systems i drove were not good enough or they are too expensive.
I started with making wheels and other things hardware for simeracing, which shuld let me collect some money for this big project.
My goal was also to make rim with universal hub for osw owners. You can see my projects on polsimer.pl. I hope i will be able to help you with making simracing platforms.

    hey guys,

thought id introduce myself, hoping to build a 2dof platform with traction loss. always been into the racing sims but mainly on consoles and sort of got bored, one day a few weeks ago was floating around youtube and saw you could use vr headsets with racing sims now so thought f*** yeah and bought an oculus rift cv1 haha.
so started cruising around the web looking at cockpits and equipment, got a few prices for different motion platforms which i couldn't justify and was looking at the next level racing setup (v2 platform or something) which lead me to a thread here which some guy was getting ripped on for trolling or something lol but read on and someone pointed out all the guys on here build diy motion sims. so i've been trolling looking at peoples builds and gathering as much knowledge as i can to not ask to many dumb questions, but majority of help i'll be asking for will be for the software/code side of things as i've been away from computers for a fair while

anyway cheers will start a build thread
