I have constructed a 3d model of an Idea I have for a motion sim. I will attach drawings I have made so far. Also had a question. Has anyone tried using slewing drives in a motion simulator? Please take a look at the plans I have drawn up and let me know what you think.

It can work, but I'm not sure you want yaw effect on a seat mover...

Same basics as Rock N Ride simulator(first motion game simulator ever sold)but R N R needs les power.
There was one with a third axis (yaw)to ,the only thing they did was a bearing between floorplate and stand.

I don't have anything built yet. I have a 3d model which I could post screen shots of or maybe a jpg if I can generate one from the model. Let me know if this would be good. As soon as I start construction I will post some pics.

a slewing drive is used on esch axis. Slewing drives consist of a "lazy susan" type bearing driven by a motorized worm gear. they are used in such things as robot arm articulation and steering mechanisms for multi-wheeled vehicles. here is a picture: slewing drive.jpg
