    Consider the weight of that design, DC motors are not strong enough without some type of help (large springs, ect) to give heave (all motors lifting at the same time). AC motors are usually used in this type of rig.

    Yes, i see this, and they use 350 Watts Motors , so i think
    ( i am not really lightweight :) ) with 800 Watts i can use double weights ...

    Planetary gearboxes, worm or standart gerboxes for a 3dof like this ?

    i think maybe you need ac motor for you weight am used ac motor +gearbox 220v50hz 0.55kw gearbox 19rpm(watch for you 30rpm) and strong 160nm . my weight +playwood+ejection seat = 170kg. extencion arms it is 7,5cm ...platform movet perect

    Looks nice :) do you have Pictures from under the platform ?
    I think when 350 W DC are working at simukit, 800W should do,
    because its much easier, with 2 car batteries, and also much much cheaper ?
    Wonder that no one tests this, Motors with enought power DV 24V , 800 W inkl (worm) gearbox i can buy for 260 Bucks.
    inkl tax and shipping so 1000,- + 2 Batterys = 1100 , and you have double power than a simukit ( which i love, but for me to less power )
