From your explanation pulling the dongle didnt help. Is it possible to plug your machine into your network/internet directly with a cable for troubleshooting purposes. Then do clean restart. Then take a screen shot.

Now enter that ip into both apps. Don't exit or restart your PC or either app. As soon as you save is when it should connect. Let us know.........

There has been a change in how SimTools interfaces with JRKs, the upside being how much more responsive they are, the down side as you have found out is that you can't run the JRK config utility and SimTools at the same time, as they are using the same API.

There was considerable refinement and testing done around filters, some games like AC were more problematic than others, so I guess there is the possibility of further development.

Your frustration is understandable and I know it is a pain, but can you please have another go starting from scratch.

    1. Unpatch any patched games.

    2. Make sure SimTools is not running.

    3. Uninstall SimTools, accepting remove all files.

    3. To be sure go to C:\Users\YOU_USER_NAME\AppData\Local and delete any SimTools folders, they would be called SimTools and the second folder would be SimTools_License.

    4. Go to C:\Program Files (x86) and check if there is a folder called SimTools, if there is delete it.

    5. Uninstall LFS, once done make sure the LFS is also gone, if not delete it.

    6. Reboot.

    7. Download and install the latest .NET and install: https://www.microsoft.com/net/download

    8. Reinstall SimTools 2.0 (perhaps even consider downloading it again to be sure it is not corrupted in any way), leave it as Demo Mode to start with, you can register it later.

    9. Before adding any plugins or patching or doing any configuration open Game Manager and see if it is green and says Connected.

    10. If all is good set up your Interface Settings and Axis Assignments, then test in OutPut Testing.

    11. Reinstall LFS and drive it for a couple of laps.

    12. Patch LFS for motion and test.

    13. Run SimTools Registration as a normal user from the menu.

    14. If this fails at any step let us know which one, it may help identify what is causing the problem.

The problem is that you may still have a previously used and a pre configured UDP port and it's not free for the new v2.0 installation ... maybe a windows 10 issue as I'm getting used to hear :(

I've previewed your photos closely and you had it buddy just one click away ...
you should go and continue with the messages that says Unreachable network ...
    IMG_3993.JPG IMG_3996.JPG
Yes ... These will reset the previous installation stuck network addresses and UDP ports and leave you free to go back to them again ... And use only the Game Manager to change the IP back ... just use the 125.0.0.1 first ... continue with error messages ... go back to 127.0.0.1 ... Close and Exit then on every change .

Please, Try it again before the clean installation as you won't loose much time on this step .

@MWB - Might be a long shot, but I wonder if your "Local" network is locked down. It appears you can't send traffic locally which is really odd.

Open up File Explorer, go to Windows then System32 and scroll down to find cmd.exe. Right click this and run as administrator.

Once the CMD line opens, type this to kill your firewall across all profiles (Public / Home)

NetSh Advfirewall set allprofiles state off.

Then fire up Game Engine and Manager again.

If no joy, to restore your firewall, just do:

NetSh Advfirewall set allprofiles state on

Failing that, I would see if your Anti-Virus has some how marked SimTools as "rogue" and is stopping any communication from it. It should not, it's perfectly safe, but if your AV has some setting to treat "new" as suspicious, it could be an avenue...

see the first photo the Game Engine was not connected to the background port "Red Rectangle" ...
At the second one it is connected "Green Rectangle" .

@MWB You were just a click away ... do the same with the Game Manager .:thumbs

There is a page dedicated to download of the v1.3 plugins and software instead. Easier to futureproof things that way. Especially since there will be no future plugins made for v1.3.

Hello everyone and congratulations for your work!

A little question: When ready, how will the "Vibe" section work?
Using a single PC will be able to instal a second sound card to interface with simtool, or I'll be necessary to use a "two PCs configuration" connected via Ethernet interface?

    Thank you!!!

    Grazie!!!

@MWB 127.0.0.1 is the address used to establish an IP connection to the same machine or computer being used by the end-user.you are on a single pc configuration right? i don't think you have problems with the ip. probably your firewall is blocking Game Manager to communicate with Game Engine.you could give it a try on a other PC to see what happens there.
