@noorbeast and @Adrianstealth after a lot of work I have a working export.lua that passes the value of the slip and turn coordinator instrument as extra1 and extra2. This may hopefully work better as it outputs a rate of turn rather than the actual bank angle.

Unfortunately even with source code from @value1 I've been unable to integrate these into the plugin and compile it (I'm not a programmer).

The slip and turn coordinator naming convention varies between aircraft in dcs so the aircraft type must first be checked in a function before the values can be called. So far have the dcs helicopters and the p51 in the list. I'll continue to develope the lua file and then hopefully someone more knowledgeable may be able to integrate it into the plugin.

I'll publish the lua here once it's complete.

@Adrianstealth You may be able to help me with finding some of the code I need. What modules do you have installed for dcs? I don't have all of the aircraft so will need help finding the slip value for the ones I don't have!

Just the free x2 +the USA ww2 plane

DCS seems to be gaining momentum with all its recent development and good VR support,
A good motion profile would be fab

While I get what you are trying to do a different value per aircraft is potentially problematic to implement in terms of a plugin. Have you discussed that with @value1?

Happy to just use the ww2 fighter to keep things simple, basic motion is fine too

The zappy backwards & forward thing is the thing I'd like to sort if I can

Happy to copy & make a few tweaks if I go to a faster plane etc

What differs is the naming convention within dcs itself not the values. The function I've written only returns a value after first checking which aircraft is being flown. These values are placed at the end of the string passed to the plugin in export.lua.

The plugin does not need to know anything about where these numbers come from just that they are consistent across aircraft (which they are once called correctly).

@value1 has sent me the plugin source to work on but my lack of experience with it is proving problematic. All I can do is provide a working export.lua and hopefully value1 will be gracious enough to add the extra forces to his existing work.

strange because pitch has it ( nice continued return )

but roll has not ( it flicks from side to side )

You could try sway instead of roll but I think the current plugin has a mistake which has heave output as sway and sway output as heave at least that's my impression from testing it. Perhaps @value1 can confirm.

Sorted! -big thanks to all / riftflyer

Got a great motion profile now & flying with motion in a rift cv1 is an amazing experience

    Using :

    Pitch
Heave -I think this is gforce either way it feels great as a roll replacement

I have a few other axis I can use so may experiment over weekend

I'm using on stand alone DCS if anyone has the patch path for steam version please let me know

Will try and sort vibration software over weekend too

There is a dcs vibration software out there, it is discussed and distributed via the Eagle Dynamics forums (also for Falcon BMS).

I agree on the forces in the plugin. I too am using sway for heave as it feels more natural. Heave is the only force that I use right now as my flight simpit has actual heave for the seat itself.

Don't bother with the steam version. All patches and updates from eagle dynamics come to standalone much earlier than steam. Think VR improvements. You want them as soon as available. Not months later on steam.

For vibration search dcs forums for Simshaker.

I bought flaming cliffs, black shark, USA ww2 shooter on steam , is there an easy way to transfer those purchases to the stand alone

Can I activate my DCS World Module purchased on steam on DCS World Standalone(Non-Steam)?

Yes, you will simply need to retrieve your serial key which can be found within your steam library and right-clicking on DCS World -> "View CD Key" then use this serial key to authenticate your module on DCS World.

    Hi riftf.

I think I understand what you mean now, rate of turns would be great
So motion will always return back to centre after reacting to a "range of rate window"
Will perhaps feel a bit like g forces?

Anyway if you need me to try let me know

Shame the roll doesn't do what the pitch does &simply flips the motion direction as the plane flips
Odd how pitch does it but roll does not on the same profile

Sorry, I have only just stumbled over this post. I have a motion platform with 5 dof which I have been using for several years with Cliffs of Dover. The solution I have used for the roll problem is to not use the output from the game, but to use the position of the joystick directly to control the rig's roll motion. Sounds crude, but it feels really nice in action. This needs to disable below flying speed, so we need an airspeed output. I do not know if this is available in the DCS plugin yet. It is several years since I tinkered with DCS, but I could not get things to work properly. With DCS's recent improvements I may well have another go.

The reason the roll output in flight sims does not work is that the motion is delayed and does not feel at all right. The roll motion should be immediate as the control column goes over. The real killer, though, is that as you go over the top of a roll the motion abruptly flicks over the opposite way. Not good, hence the reason I use the direct method above.

I hope this is of some help.

    Hello
Can You help me with my problem here? I downloaded plugin 2.0 for DCS. I've got flaming Cliffs on Steam. I installed everything in Simtools 2.0. Game Manager seems to see when the game is on, and my cockpit starts to, but after that nothing happens. I can fly, but my chair is standing still. I thought, that I need to change something in tuning utility, and I saw there is no data. I used reset, capture max/min but nothing happend. I Checked the SimTools folder and there is everything fine.
Other games work well. No idea...
