    @value1 - this sounds like it could be useful...

    Hi Phil,

    the DLL designer probably used one of the VR head matrix
    modification functions. He should ensure he has the latest
    SDK as the function signature has changed.

    @Phil Hulme and @value1

    Confirmed I get the crash in VR mode. Both SteamVR and Oculus crash the Game.

    You can, however, still choose planes and places to fly and all the functions of the menu/GUI work, but as soon as the plane loads and you should be dumped into the Cockpit, the EXE crashes.

    I received a response from AeroFly2 Support

    Hello vsp-
    We have now received the feedback from the developers.

    Please temporarily delete the folder "external_dll" in the user directory
    'C:/Users/nn/Documents/Aerofly FS 2/external_dll/' ...

    The developers have yet to make a new DLL available!

    Your Aerofly Support Team

    Hallo vsp

    Wir haben jetzt die Rückmeldung von den Entwicklern erhalten.

    Bitte löschen Sie vorübergehend den Ordner "external_dll" im Benutzerverzeichnis unter
    'C:/Users/nn/Documents/Aerofly FS 2/external_dll/'...

    Die Entwickler müssen erst noch eine neue DLL zur Verfügung stellen!

    Can I ask if others are finding that the current plugin works normally in 2D at the moment? I'm just getting started with this (and SimTools in general) and I want to demo it to someone tomorrow. I'll make do with 2D though I don't really have the screen setup for it. What I find is that when the game starts everything resets level, but once it picks up some telemetry from the game it yaws right and tilts left. Everything is fine in output testing. Do I need to do some calibration or is the plugin getting bad data from the latest SDK?

    I thought I'd get in touch with IPACS again to double check where we are with the plugin. I was of the impression after the post from @vsp19 that IPACS had acknowledged they needed to fix something. That is not what they think. I got the following and then emailed back just to double check which "programmer" they are talking about. They say everything is fine their end, and a fix is needed on the plugin. @value1 - is this your understanding?

    ==
    Phil,

    sorry, but I do not know for what purpose you
    require the DLL. The programmer of the DLL is currently
    away and cannot fix it.

    Standing by on this issue as well, having an entertainment license, and not able to provide the best experience for our customers, even though we're on a stable release. Keep us updated!

    It's also my understanding that you don't even need SimTools running (after the game is patched) in order for the game to crash with VR?
    Has someone tried that and is it true??

    This is where we are at the moment I believe.
    - No motion, no VR - Game Runs ok
    - Motion, no VR - Game Runs ok
    - No motion, VR - Game Runs ok
    - Motion, VR - Game Crash

    If we can't tell the game to export telemetry and use VR at the same time without it crashing, then that game itself would have to be fixed I believe.
    yobuddy

    @vrxsim,
    Your on a stable release of SimTools 2.0, but Aerofly FS 2 is still in early access and will be changed a lot more before it's considered final.
    Please remember that allot of people making game plugins do so in their spare time and no one "owes" anyone a plugin.
    We all want them to work, as we all use the same game plugins, no matter what version of SimTools we are running.

    @yobuddy - Yes, agree with each of your permutations. What kills it is when the DLL is present in the "external dll" folder and it runs in VR. IPACS are saying that this demonstrates it's not their fault as it isn't their DLL. Without a proper diagnostic we won't know for sure, and unfortunately @value1 does not have VR. Maybe a plugin developer with VR can help? FS2 is an awesome VR experience and gaining quite a following. Surely more plugin developers will be trying it. It doesn't have the adrenalin of motorsport, but taking that red bull style acrobatics aircraft through the grand canyon is good fun !

    Fancy a go yourself @yobuddy? You said earlier you don't have FS2. If @vrxsim has an entertainment licence, he may even want to buy you a copy to speed up development and have others involved. I'll go halves with him.

    UPDATE: Sorry, I just checked - it was @noorbeast who said he doesn't have FS2.

    But then I don't have VR to test with guy's.
    Once value1 returns, I'll chat with him to see what we can do.
    Still seems to be a game glitch to me thou.

    Does anyone know what may be happening?
    Pitch works normally.
    Roll and yaw seem to be out of center.

    Great news! We were in no man's land for a while, unclear where the problem really was. Thanks for letting us know.

    Property Yesterday after update again tried AeroFly2 with Oculus and SimTools.

    Unfortunately, it still crashes shortly after flight start.

    After that I deleted the DLL and

    Without SimTools and with the Oculus it works

    I saw the small update. I think it was related to AMD graphics card problems. We need a new SDK. I'm resigned to more waiting, but am hopeful that when they release the Dash 8 plane any day(week?) now they'll sort the SDK problem.
