One of the good things about using wood is that if you want to fit something - two screws and it there :). How bizarre, the new steering wheel that I have purchased locally for the DD wheel looks like ...

[IMG] Did not know that you have something very similar fitted until today when looking at your new post ...o_O.

They are not being swamped by your other transducer on the pedal ?Yea, my new shell is also going to add some weight, but it is not as bad as I thought as the seat is integrated into the shell.

Yeah they are no point in having them on really, I added another 2 bass shakers 1 under either foot so the pedal motors are wiped out. They are ok in Assetto as we have no gamevibe yet to test for that :)

Hi @SilentChill you can tell he's back cos im buggin you for some info.. ok its been awhile for me and loads of catching up , was checking out your man cave video and saw that your using 360 hall effect sensors instead of 10 turn pots .....I'd lke to use that upgrade on my actuators ...is the info listed in this thread if you can point me to it i'll check it out, seems like a great way to use my 3d printer and will head off potential issue when I upgrade my actuators .. cheers mate . I know I need to re-read the post from the beginning so wont be offended if your busy mate but scanned through and missed it but the video piqued my interest ..:)

I got help from the awesome guys here and made a little gearbox https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/help-with-gears-ratio-reducer.9722/#post-127241

Its worked brilliantly but it looks ugly and totally out of place but it does its job :)

Love the build mate! Been a good read watching you tackle and overcome the obstacles faced along the way and just watching it evolve to where it is today. I've got parts for my SeatFlyerChill Actuator on the way, wish me luck haha. Will start a build thread when it all arrives. keep the upgrades coming :)

It seems you removed the oculus sensor (camera) from your rig and you set it on your desk. Was it causing trouble with the motion cancellation when it was on you rig?
I'm asking because it would be more simple to put it on my (future, almost there) rig as mine should do 360 yaw. So I want to avoid using slip rings for camera signal.

The whole point of motion cancellation is to not have the camera mounted on the rig, but instead track and subtract the known position of the rig from the user HMD view.

Yeah this I know, but I was wondering if it work good as I think @SilentChill used it that way before. Wanted to know the reason he changed it. If there was benefit.
It's only to avoid avoid using slip rings in my sims as I can already see the trouble with the signal of the USB / camera cable coming...

Man you are one crazy person, your build is awesome! I have only just now skimmed over some of the content tonight and will continue in coming days, weeks, months, years. I can only guess at the $$ you have input into it but I guess it is not relevant as it is your build and your enjoyment. You should live in Aus that would explain your crazy-ness genius but would not explain your brilliant ability to start such a complex project and complete such an awesome simulator, if only we all could have your skills! Out of curiosity what would you say your build cost you to date??? Regards Ned if you don't mind me asking? Just the parts not the man hours.

Hi @Ned I can not take much credit for what I have done as I have only copied what others did here before me especially with the DIY actuators if I only had the skill of another Craig on here . You should look here at @SeatTime build which is by far the best and most innovative rig there is/has/was will be. He is from the land of Oz https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/seattimes-6dof-dc-build.6106/ :thumbs

and of course @wannabeaflyer2 with his adaption of @SeatTime DIY actuators which made it easy for the rest of us to build our own https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/diy-linear-actuator-design.8221/

ahh cost nearly I estimate around £1500 give or take I have totally lost count what I have spent
