OK guys and gals here's my delima
My RollerCoaster is setup to endlessly flip 360 Pitch and 360 roll.
So far Roll works perfect, my simtools on a roll will go from 0 to 127 then JUMP(flip) to -127 then follow through back to 0 to finish the roll.

    PITCH WILL NOT! WHY????

The Problem I'm seeing is shown in this video
    https://www.facebook.com/charles.w.hein/videos/vb.1060536994/10212509911717052/
Notice the Roll jumps from one end of the slider to the other to finish the roll, now watch Pitch on a loop de loop... it wants to reverse direction? I dont know how to fix this!

    Here's my setup

Here's the Coaster and the new Control interface

Short story, Yes I have tweaked the values but i think its before the limitations of max and min ...

Long Story after digging into everything I went to the bare naked basics... No Limits 2 is being interpreted (I believe) Wrong ... Now it may be a bug on no limits 2 side causing this issue but heres what i gather

    Roll Axis (Corkscrew)
    127 127 127 127 127 127 // LEVEL
    120 127 127 127 127 127
    115 127 127 127 127 127
    105 127 127 127 127 127
    99 127 127 127 127 127 // Nice Right hand Twist
    90 127 127 127 127 127
    84 127 127 127 127 127
    70 127 127 127 127 127
    60 127 127 127 127 127
    50 127 127 127 127 127
    40 127 127 127 127 127
    20 127 127 127 127 127
    0 127 127 127 127 127 // Fully upside down
    255 127 127 127 127 127 //JUMPED to the other side of the scale
    250 127 127 127 127 127
    240 127 127 127 127 127
    220 127 127 127 127 127 // To continue the right hand Twist
    200 127 127 127 127 127
    180 127 127 127 127 127
    127 127 127 127 127 127 // All the way back level

    (Shortened for ease of reading)

HERE's the output for Loop de loop

    Pitch Axis (Loop)
    127 127 127 127 127 127 //Level
    127 120 127 127 127 127
    127 100 127 127 127 127
    127 90 127 127 127 127
    127 70 127 127 127 127
    127 40 127 127 127 127
    127 30 127 127 127 127
    127 10 127 127 127 127
    127 0 127 127 127 127 //Peak
    127 0 127 127 127 127 // Still Upside Down
    127 0 127 127 127 127
    127 0 127 127 127 127 //Should have Rolled over to 255
    127 0 127 127 127 127
    127 0 127 127 127 127 // Still upside down
    127 10 127 127 127 127 // But instead values Reverse
    127 40 127 127 127 127
    127 80 127 127 127 127
    127 100 127 127 127 127
    127 127 127 127 127 127 // Rapidly
    127 200 127 127 127 127
    127 255 127 127 127 127 //To catch the over side of the loop
    127 240 127 127 127 127
    127 230 127 127 127 127 // Then FINALLY
    127 210 127 127 127 127
    127 200 127 127 127 127
    127 180 127 127 127 127 // Follows through
    127 150 127 127 127 127
    127 127 127 127 127 127 // To Level

Again I can not explain WHY but it's either a bug in no limits 2, the plugin, or just not capable of doing it (idk why tho)

Could be the plugin - you can make them do anything you want. I wrote one for No-limits were it does the opposite of what you want, as I (and most members) don't have a 360 sim.

I was afraid of that! So far I have roll working perfectly and flipping perfectly doing corkscrews but I guess most DIY platforms can roll more than pitch

@SeatTime Any way you can point me the correct direction so I may get this resolved before ThanksGiving Break (Boss is on me about knocking it out)

I dont mind modifying a plugin (if it is just that) but not exactly sure where to start (I've never built / modified a plugin YET)

Thanks for all You guys quick responses

You need to talk to the Simtools developers. Also have a look at the FAQ.

The output of NL2 is normal. You must look at it from the perspective of world coordinates. When doing a roll the direction of travel stays the same so the output is what flips. When you do a loop over the top or bottom the direction of travel is what flips therefore the output only reverses. You will need a custom plugin that accounts for this for your rig to operate as you wish.

@yobuddy I downloaded a couple that I found when digging but it seems like none of them want to flip all they want to do is reverse I found one that @SeatTime was playing with but for the life of me it will not flip it simply reverses

Yes, the plugin I built fixed some loop issues (it use to do a 360 roll at the top of a loop o_O) and also was designed not to flip, as I don't have a 360 degree sim and flipping therefore feels totally wrong.

@SeatTime I went through the thread with a fine tooth comb ... I found the "fix" download but what version was it BEFORE the fix?

Sorry, I'm just a member of this site like yourself, don't know what version it was before I did my fix (quite a while ago now :think) ,or what version it is even now as released by the Simtools developers and I could not tell you if the plug-in ever worked in pitch like you require, as it was not an issue for me.

Did this ever get worked out?

I have a working g-seat that has integrated roll forces. (Heave, surge, sway and roll). Combined with VR, No Limits 2 is a fantastic roller coaster simulator.

Unfortunately I have the exact opposite to Charlie's issue.

As seen from Charlies video in the first post, The roll over jumps from 127 to -127. So I am sitting in my g-seat with roll forces to the left relative to the seat, then jumping to roll forces to the right with reference to sitting in the seat on the roll over. I need it to hold angle on the roll over (not change polarity).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@BrassEm I'm still working on my solution, It looks to be the plugin and I cant find one that flips like I need. As far as your problem I read a thread somewhere concerning DOF pitch and roll fix, I'm looking around now
