    Hello from Canada,

First off, I'd like to thank everyone in this community for the wealth of information that has been posted. I have read a lot of threads and FAQs over the past 2 weeks. Without it, I would not have worked up the courage to tackle such a project with no experience. My hope is to make this thread a one stop shop for anyone looking to do this type of project.

I mainly play F1 2017, Dirt Rally and Assetto Corsa and the goal is to re-purpose current seat for motion simulation and eventually VR later this year.

The last thing to buy are the power supplies and steel tubing for the frame, but lots of time as some of the items I've ordered won't be in for 2 months.

As for the frame design, I like the DOFReality design and will likely copy that, but I'm also open to suggestions. I also thought about doing a Simukit style 3DOF, but since it's mainly for racing I leaned more toward traction loss. Will have to spend some time in SimCalc once I decide: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

    Comments, tips, advice are welcome.

Can anyone recommend a power supply for 24V 15A 250W motors? I was thinking about getting 3 of these off Amazon: Link

Would be cleaner if I could get just one power supply with enough watts.

After checking out some other 3DOF threads and asking other members, I've ordered the MEAN WELL SE-1000-24 for a power supply:

I unexpectedly got my servos in from Amazon on a Sunday and spent all afternoon building a prototype out of Lego and paper clips. :)
Went from zero SimTools experience to playing a game really quick, thanks to the contributors in this thread: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/rc-model-for-motion-simulation.4600/page-2
    Again, what a great community!

Feel free to make fun of my driving... I meant to go over that sausage curb for dramatic affect.;)

I was surprised since I also thought it would come out of Minnesota, but the shipping label said Winnipeg. I'm in Calgary.

Unfortunately I always rip off the label before I toss the box in the recycle bin, otherwise I could have snapped a picture.
