Very creative, though it seems a little strange to be 'steering' a motorbike so much, rather than leaning.

Motocross you do tend to steer like this. Street or gp lean for sure. The old thrustmaster bike controller let you switch between mx steering like this or gp where the controller goes side to side

I modified the simulator again, so I can use it with mx and gp

compliments! great idea, I do not understand well from the video, the engines are wipers? from which cars are recovered.

Nice work :thumbs. If I was to build a bike Sim, likely would purchase a wreaked/cheap bike and use the parts from it as required. That sim is crying out for a wind setup.

I don't think so because, I'm making continuous modifications :)

Wow. Abruptly. Little movement resembles the behavior of a motorcycle, but a lot of fun - definitely!

I wonder if replacing the solid rods with gas struts would help with that

Good SIM you made, but judging by the video there are many points that can be modified for more realistic control. Do you have the opportunity to ride a motorcycle in real life? You'd know in which direction you should move. I will try to explain, but I am not sure that I will formulate the idea correctly and the translator will translate it correctly. 2 DOF platform in this configuration is not quite correctly simulates the transverse slopes (pitch). The fact that, unlike the car, the slope of the motorcycle - it is primarily the force created by the rider, the transfer of the center of gravity and turning the steering wheel, and only in the second - a consequence of external forces on the moving body. Moreover, the angle of the motorcycle depends on the steering angle and speed. The task of the rider is to keep the weight of the motorcycle in the slope. Ie for the correct simulation requires a counterweight or a stabilizer that would resist the actions of the rider.

I didn't have time to delete the duplicate message...
And all the above applies to on-road bike. For cross or Enduro control technique is fundamentally different. One of the main nuances is that the rider spends 90% of his time on his feet (on the steps) and constantly balances the motorcycle body displacement in both longitudinal and transverse direction. By the way for off - road motorcycle is very relevant constant failure of the rear wheel in the skid-that it would be super to implement. My opinion is to make a realistic motorcycle simulator-a very difficult task, so I have not reached it yet, but there are plans.

If you want to exercise without leaving home, I changed the simulator again and turned it into a exercise bike, the game I used was the eurotrack simulator 2, and for pedaling I used a arduino mega, with Unojoy software and some sensors hall with a neodymium magnet.

    Saludos!!!

HELLO Satbranigan, I love your project, you are very creative, I am surprised that the wiper motors move the whole structure, so I see that the iron profiles look light, but you are a genius.
