    Now the funny thing about this plugin is that I'm not going to update it.
    Should there be an update of the game, I leave it up to you to find the new pointers to speed, acceleration and the transformation matrix. PrinceHairSlick_small.gif

    Therefore some hints:

    • Find a stable pointer to the speed vector, for example with CheatEngine. The speed vector consists of three consecutive memory locations storing the actual speed of the car in world coordinates.
    • Find a stable pointer to the acceleration vector. Again, it consists of three consecutive memory locations storing the actual acceleration of the car in world coordinates.
    • Find the transformation matrix, that is needed to transform the vectors from world coordinates to local coordinates (e.g. surge, sway, heave acceleration, etc.)
    Speed.png Acceleration.png Matrix.png
    Enter the offsets into the file
    C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\SimTools\GamePlugins\Wreckfest_Offsets.xml.
    When you find a pointer with 2 offsets, write
    Offsets="2".
    Offset_0 is the value behind "Wreckfest.exe"
    Offset_1 is the second offset (e.g. 3F0)
    All offsets must be entered in hexadecimal notation.
    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <!-- 2018-July-14 -->
    <!-- Wreckfest 1.232998 32bit DX11 -->
    <!-- Pointers by value1 -->
    <!-- all values in hex -->
    <pointers>
        <Matrix
            Offsets="2"
            Offset_0="D55450"
            Offset_1="3F0"
            Offset_2 ="0"
            Offset_3 ="0"
            Offset_4 ="0"
            Offset_5 ="0"/>
        <Speed
            Offsets="2"
            Offset_0="D557B0"
            Offset_1="3C"
            Offset_2 ="0"
            Offset_3 ="0"
            Offset_4 ="0"
            Offset_5 ="0"/>
        <Acceleration
            Offsets="2"
            Offset_0="D557B0"
            Offset_1="48"
            Offset_2 ="0"
            Offset_3 ="0"
            Offset_4 ="0"
            Offset_5 ="0"/>
    </pointers>

    Good luck!

    Thank you!

    I started to write the plugin for this game, but this method is hard to find good values (except gear and speed)

    Yes, indeed, it needs some passion, some time and some good coffee :)
    And once you have found stable pointers, you still have to verify they work in different modules in the game (which should be the case for Wreckfest) and on different machines.

    I had trouble getting this to read on my PC. The trick apparently was to launch the 64 bit version after patching, then go back to the 32 and it worked. No idea why, maybe just a fluke.

    Not sure if there will be a 64bit plugin. But you can force Wreckfest into 32bit mode with the startup option. I guess, there's not really a difference between 64bit and 32bit mode.

    Just make sure you actually launch it from Steam, not from the taskbar selection. It will not give you the choice if you launch from the taskbar. I have zero performance difference between 32 and 64.

    You can disconnect SimTools using the button on the top left of Game Manager.

    Sort of, Game Manager will be disconnected and you can click it again to reconnect when you want motion.
