What is the latest on the 6dof upgrade? Anyone have updated information? I went to the DOFReality website, but, could not find an update.

    Same quality fit & finish?

    If so, then that's impressive.

    Do you have any pic's????

I assume that you had all of the parts already on hand.

Not sure if that's possible for everyone though, as the parts alone would far surpass that price.

Unfortunately, I have no 3d printer and the right CAD software, nor the time and experience to deal with it.
The parts to attach were already costly to get and adjust for me, and have cost an extra 22 €.
So I just rewarded the work of another, who made the effort.
The windsimulator works great. I'm very happy

looked at the specs on the M2 and it says 22 n/m. So im guesing its a 24v 300w motor with 25:1 gearbox?

Not sure if this has been asked (or answered before, so apologise in advance).

My question is about balancing it.

I am interested in the P3, which is labelled as a pro machine for arcades etc.
I'm going to buy it but waiting to see if there are any black Friday or new year deals, so not in a desperate rush though.
I will be using it in my home for personal use, so only me (and possibly a friend/family member or 2) using it.

If its so important to balance it for the user then how does this affect multiple users?
Surely you cant be expected to balance it for every use as that is simply not practical, especially if used in an arcade, commercially.
How does this work? I can understand the importance of being balanced., but not sure how practical it is in use.

I don't balance mine (H3) at all. In fact I deliberately added 8kg near the foot plate to ensure the CoG was well forward otherwise I have trouble with the gearing slack. In fact I also rigged up a wire & pulley system to ensure there's constant force pulling the traction loss gears to remove slack there.

This is perhaps more an issue for me as I'm flying not driving so I need smooth movements rather than being chucked around a lot. Perhaps also my extra weight would add too much stress if driving aggressively.

That's an excellent question, as different user's weights could possibly vary by up to 100lbs or so.
It'll be interesting to hear an official response.

I'd still like to see photo's of the control box internal components and how they are laid out, wiring, cooling, etc.
There are no such photo's on the DOF Reality site, only photo's of the physical rigs.

there two factors: 1) balance shouldn't be ideal 2) although the person weight may very the COG of person won't be moving after balancing.

However I don't see the reason why you need that picture, besides cloning our designs, here it is:

Nope, not interested in cloning your design, but thanks for the assumption. :roll

It was a MAJOR factor in my not purchasing the M2 seat mover, as the electronics portion of the rig is so secretive on the DOF Reality site, and I was hesitant to buy something which I couldn't fix myself (like the NLRv3).

I'll say that it does look nice & clean, and had even a simple photo such as that been on the DOF Reality site I may have ended up buying one.

Oh well, too late, as my rig is now complete.

Sorry, i didn't get "electronics portion of the rig is so secretive on the DOF Reality site"
we always mention that all components are off the shelf and can be purchased and replaced locally. If you scroll to the first page of this thread, you will see that we started from SMC project here. where you have all diograms and hardware details.

    So if I understand you.
As long as it’s balanced with your equipment and someone sat on it then it won’t really matter who is sat on it after that as the centre of gravity will be similar.

That does make sense I guess.
