Yes I was referring to the simtools plug in updater.
Yes I just repatched it and rebooted Game manager on main pc and rebooted the game engine on the remote.
    Still no motion on DCS...

I really appreciate all the help i have been given here on this thread.
DCS is working well on my 2 dof rig with wheelchair motors..
Is there Game Vibe support for DCS?
2nd question.. I get a bit of stepping motion when rolling left or right.
Could someone point me to what adjustment would help?
    Thanks

I don't believe the DCS plugin has been updated for Game Vibe as support is not listed on the download page.

The issue with roll could be related to hardware adequacy, settings, or both, hard to say without further information, such as pictures of all of your settings.

    Thanks Mr Beast.
I played around with the settings and found setting the output from linear to rotational helped.
The smoothing option which to me sounded like the way to go did not help. It just seemed to slow things down around neutral. Not the effect I was looking for.
I hope someone will get vibe going for DCS.
Last year I bought SimShaker and it did a good job on DCS.
However I can not get it to output anymore.
I do not know if it is a Export.Lua thing or not.
Maybe you have some insight on that too.
    As always,
    Thanks
    Tom

Well DCS is a great sim. I used a rift with it last year and now I have the Samsung Odyssey and it has a much nicer picture.
The Rift just collects dust now. I am using a 2dof diy rig. The roll is awesome and when dialed in the antiroll over works great. It almost feels like you are doing a 360 roll.
Controlling all the switches and levers in VR is a learning experience and is taking longer than I had hoped.
Bottom line is VR is A++
The present lack of SimVibe is a bummer.
I have the software Simshaker that I had running last year and it was an awesome addition. I have not had time to look into it but it has quit working since I loaded Simtools.
Building a G seat right now so everything is dismantled until the seat gets remounted..

    Hello @T R Para

I just came across your posts and I also have simshaker with the jetseat and it is working perfectly with my motion rig and simtools.
What I did was to add the two lines of code of the jetseat at the bottom, under the simtools code in the export.lua file
It has to work in this way, guaranteed.
Can I ask you one thing?
You said you played with settings in simtools and changed the output from linear to rotational, can I ask you how you do that?
    I would like to try
    Thanks

    Sure..
    In game engine..
    Select Axis Assignments
Just below the Green Save box is
    Out Type.
Select that and you will see you can set it to rotational.
This allows a 0-180 degree selection.
    Be sure to Save.
    Then click the Back button.

I have not played with Simshaker for a few weeks.
I do not have the jet seat but I did pick up one of the car seat vibration cushions.
I am hoping to make it work with Dash Vibe.
However I did mount a transducer to the chair but I do not have the extra code for the export lua script in DCS..
Maybe you could post that for me and I will try it..

    @T R Para

Here is the simshaker code that goes in the export.lua under the simtools code.

    local SimShakerlfs=require('lfs'); dofile(SimShakerlfs.writedir()..'Scripts/SimShaker.lua')

    dofile(lfs.writedir()..[[Scripts\SimShaker-export-core\ExportCore.lua]])

    I hope it helps
By the way in my game engine/axis assignments I don't have the Out Type under the green save box, I don't know why.

Sorry about that.. It only appears if you select
    Axis Type
    Generic 2d Advanced
And that is still in the Axis Assignment menu...
    Thank you for the scripts.
I will add those to DCS

Guys I need some help here..

First of all I was trying to select Axis type 2d advanced in my simtools but I don't have it.
Any explanation why I don't have the axis advanced option?

    Second question.. really noob question
Let's say I pitch up the plane, what should heave do?
Should heave rise the motion platform or lower it?
I was reading on simtools manual that heave is a force (up/dn) g force so according to this statement, when I pitch up , heave should move my platform towards the "floor" so down and when I pitch down heave should move the platform towards the "ceiling"so up.
    Is this correct?

    Thanks for the help

    Use Generic 2D Standard.

See here re how to create and refine a motion profile, doing one axis at a time: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

    Thanks noorbeast

I’ve already created a profile using the generic 2d standard
But I was reading simtools manual and it says that using the 2d advanced has the advantage of fixing the “roll problem at 180 degrees” plus other nice features.
So here is where my question comes from
    Why don’t I have it?
    What am I missin?

Now I understand what you are trying to do, so you will need to upgrade SimTools to the latest version and should then be able to see the Advanced option: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/motion-simulation-software-simtools.63/

    Hi all

Agreed DCS is a brilliant sim
I’ve used Simtools for motion with DCS trouble free for last couple of years

    Recently updated to latest Simtools
I finally have new Simtools license & have it setup ( it works the motion on my rig when I move the sliders in Simtools to test no problem & full movements )

I grabbed the latest DCS plugin

But last night I couldn’t get it to work
A good sign is the rig does move very slightly as if the % settings are 1% ( in the end I maxed them all out but still the same 1% effect )

It was really just the odd tremor from one or all the actuators when I made aggressive moves with the virtual aircraft

I’ve set Simtools to SCN ( for my SCN6’s) just like before but I don’t really know what he problem could be ??

    Any suggestions appreciated

Ps I don’t think it’s necessarily the plugin as everything Simtools is a bran new install latest versions & newly setup , it’s been a while since I setup last time everything just worked each time no probs on the old original installation. )-:

Have you gone through all the steps to refine the motion plugin: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

In particular capturing the Min/Max in the Tuning Center.

    Thanks for help Noorbeast

I thought it would just work then it was a matter of refining etc

There’s a lot of text in that guide & no guarantee it’s going to work

I’ll have to wait until I have a few days of work at some point in the future as I’ve spent so much time on this already & although software is talking to hardware it’s not really giving motion ,
I’m pretty sure it worked on the earlier version ( about two years ago ) after setup with little messing around

    I have standard SCN6 actuators

    Thanks
