You should check the FAQs first when you have questions or ideas: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

The FAQs cover things like controlling rumble style motors with Game Dash: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rumble-motors-using-game-dash-for-control.272/
And SimTools settings, tips and tricks: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-settings-tips-and-tricks.18/category

Also please start your own thread and post your questions there, rather than on other member's threads.

    Hi guys,

My 6DOF motion seat build is done since one year about. Everything is still running no issues at all. I play ‘elite dangerous’ with VR and it’s a perfect combination.

    Hello Kermit
Congratulation! As I am still working on clearing out some space for "the man cave". I hope I have not missed that info in your thread, that I have studied quite offen.... May I ask for the footprint of your 6 dof base, height of racing seat base and maximum lateral, anterior/posterior and vertical travel during setup and operation for orientation concerning minimal space requirement.

    hi @Zwodog

please have a look to the PDF, which shows the footprint of the motion seat.
    bottom_frame.pdf

for all the other documents please checkout the project folder:

    https://1drv.ms/f/s!AmCwooBbjonBvUZAY8u_qfKTertc

the whole motion seat height is about 1.75m (TOP of the mounted seat on the assembled plattform)

Thank you very much! I completely missed that information in that folder!!! As i have focused only on the linear actuator build. May I ask another question, I hope I can make myself clear...
Can you give me an rough estimate on how much elevation the seat has and how much movement to the side. I mean how much additional space to the base platforms do you need to the left and right for maximum lateral travel?
Thanks for your help and support and time and the great information already provided.

The “Regeneration Energy Buffer” and “24V Power System” are very encouraging. I copied the circuit diagram and learned it, and I will do the same. thank you very much.

Why are they so cheap? the motor is included or it is only the gearbox?
I'm trying to buy them unfortunately they only ship to Germany, do you think there is a way to buy them from Italy? thanks a lot

Hey @kermitkong can you tell me what it is you have to search for to find these rods? I am new to this, and I know I need tire rod ends, but I am not sure what I am looking for when search for the rods to connect them.
    Thank you!
