Not too sure is it your tuning centre settings or your profile in game manager ?

Try to max the main level in game manager to 100%, in my experience if you slide it to near zero, the movements will be much smoother and delayed. With higher values the movement will be much "directed" and faster, but in this way if you want to reduce the movement limits, you have to do that with reduce the percentages in game engine, or tuning center.
    hope helped.

BTW, MERYY XMAS TO ALL here!

Was there an other ED update since Dec 24th? I no longer have motion. I tried reinstalling the latest plugin and offset, unpatched, repatched. Still nothing. Thx

EDIT : OK, got it working. I forgot to start SimTools as admin. :blush

Hi guys, Happy New Year to you all.

Regarding this latest SRVplugin - do you have to be using the latest SimTools (ver 2.3 - which I still haven't installed/setup yet). I'm still on ver 2.25. I did a swap to this latest SRV plug in and get a game manager crash every time I start ED. The crash is caused by .NET (which I seem to remember gets updated/installed with a Simtools installation so I'm figuring that my Simtools is not current for this plugin?). I was easily able to revert back to the non-SRV plugin (with xml) and all is good again for ship flight.

I don't do too much SRV'ing atm, so am not overly concerned that I have no moves for one. I just want to ensure that there is no other issues at my end that 'could' prevent any future (non xml) plugins from working for me.
Are you all on the latest Simtools ver 2.3?

Yes as far as I know and no one has experienced any issues whilst I was getting it tested

Cheers Craig. I thought so. I decided to update my Simtools this afternoon and give it a whirl.
btw - I'm in the ED squadron currently in the lead for CQC and I'm sure my motion rig helps me - lol. Many thanks for your hard work.

Latest plugin update make my gamemanager crash too, I'm on latest version of simtools 2.3.1

According to the Stacktrace, its a missing Dll.

    Exception Info: System.DllNotFoundException

Edit: the missing Dll seems to be : GetBaseAddress64.dll

Yes - this plugin appears to be a tricky one for me to get working. Further to my earlier post yesterday, I uninstalled Simtools 2.2.5 and updated it to 3.3.1 to see if I can get the SRV plugin working.

(step 1) After downloading and installing 3.3.1, I reinstalled/patched the joystick plugin and set up all the parameters in game engine and tuning center. Works perfectly for all 6 axis and shows updated simtools is working ok.

(step 2) I then used plugin updater to import the known-working ED (horizons non SRV) plugin (with its xml) and then ran ED for a few mins (before patching). I then patched the plugin in gamemanager and set the parameters in game engine. I then restarted ED and as expected I got no motion. Close ED down then I go to %appdata% for simtools and update the incorrectly installed xml (April 2018) with known working xml data (20th Dec from Craig). Reboot simtools manager + engine + ED and all is well again on all 6 axis. This is now my 'working baseline' that shows my updated simtools is working, and the plugin+xml I have been using are still working well with my setup. Now to check whether the new SRV plugin works just as it seems to for others here....

    (step 3)
I unpatched the ED (non SRV) plugin in gamemanager,
then I used plugin updater to import the SRV plugin.
checked in %appdata% and new plugin is present.
started ED and ran it for a few mins then shut it down.
I patched the SRV plugin in gamemanager,
set up the ED parameters in game-engine, so all set to go.

Started ED from the launcher and within a few seconds I get the error message saying .NET error and gamemanager has to close. Exactly the same issue I was getting in simtools 2.2.5 with this plugin.
I went and checked my .NET and I have the latest (even got it checked for errors). I then unpatched the SRV plugin and carried out step 2 (see above) again and had the xml (non SRV) plugin running perfectly again in minutes??
Then tried step 3 again just to be sure and still getting the .NET message. Only a problem on this one plugin. Dunno what else to do/try. I'll keep using the working xml plugin in the meantime but I fear that on the next update I'll likely be motionless unless I can bottom this out.

Any advise or pointers greatly appreciated.

    UPDATE: I've solved the problem......

At the point gamemanager crashes, Windows reported an 'unhandled Microsoft .NET framework exception occurring in simtools_gamemaneger.exe'.
Following on from @Wagnard earlier post, I ran VisualStudio to trace down the exception. VS also reported a missing system dll file. Specifically the 'GetBaseAddress64.dll' file

I checked back through previous ED plugins and there hasn't been a separate 'GetBaseAddress64.dll' file for a while that I could find. Anyway, I did find one from a plugin back in 2017 so figured I'd give it a try....
After updating and repatching the SRV plugin, I duly placed a copy of this old dll in the %appdata% simtools/plugins folder.
Started gamemanager and game engine up and then started ED. Woohoo - no crash or .NET error. ED loaded up normally and I started the combat demo. All 6dof check out. I then started the SRV demo and I have motion in an SRV !

All systems are back on track...... give it a try @Wagnard

Note: I do 'infrequently' get the gamemanager error pop up when closing the game down -I think someone else mentioned that herein but this doesn't really matter

    Happy 2019 everyone

    @kev b
Yeah I already fixed it yesterday when I found the name of the missing file.
I had an old plugin laying around in my backup.
Is there a way to download earlier version on the site? seem to always give an option to download most recent.
1 note, on my end the game manager crash when I exit elite but it's no biggies.
    Thanks anyway ;)

@Wagnard - I had copies of older plugins. Don't think they are stored on forum, as you say only the latest is ever available
    thanks
