Hi - I have a Prosimu 3DOF with PRS200 actuators. Im slowly getting more familiar and confident with the settings so I decided to have a go with the Tuning Centre and now I feel like Im in a boat with the TL also all over the place

Would anyone have any benchmark setting suggestions to get me started back on track (no pun), Im going around in circles being a sight technophobe. Maybe I mistakenly thought this was a plug 'n play thing!

    Thank you

Most of us started in the same place you are now, but with some research and support from the community learned how to refine moon profiles, which is part technological in understanding how SimTools functions and part art form, given we are dialing in a simulation of reality to match our own preconceptions and personal preferences.

Thanks again,. Can I ask, as Im getting conflicting info, do I switch off all the actuators when I do my first run?

Also, do I go around slowly within the track boundary making sure I don't hit kerbs etc? I was going to use a Mercedes 190 EVOII with sequential around Spa or Red Bull National as Im now familiar with them

Your actuators should be on, try to go at about 80% of normal pace but don't hit anything.

Still not getting this! I've read literature over and over again and its still not sinking it and I'm starting to loose interest as I spend more time trying settings than I do enjoying playing the games which was the idea of the purchase. Maybe I should have gone for that Versaro after all!

Imo your beef should be with Prosimu if they gave an expectation of plug and play. But it appears you increased tuning #'s making them weaker so try decreasing them instead.

What Im struggling to understand is the manual states to set up default as shown on page 19 - DOF's 1-5 (attached)

Then once the plug-in is installed, in my case AC, you set the assignments as shown on Page 23 (attached) with Axis's 3 and 4 still set but DOF's 4 and 5 not shown.

My Axis assignments are Axis 1 - RH actuator, Axis 2 - LH actuator, Axis 5 - Traction Loss

First of all : do a tuning center : explain inside the doc.

Second : reduce the main level (80-90) if you have a lot of informations from the game or increase if you want more.

Then : if you want more movement (amplitude) : increase or decrease the slider for sways-surge : for the car behavior inside Game manager/editor. and increase or decrease the slider for pitch and roll for the road sensation.

And finally : you could put more or less acceleration/speed inside game engine/interface settings if you need more or less impact from the actuators.

    Thanks

    Patrick

Thanks Patrick, that's starting to make more sense.

So as a couple of examples, what would I need to adjust for say:

    More kerb feel....

    Stronger gear change feel...
