Did you fix this? I have play/slack in the front motors. If using a flight sim for example, when the plane returns to level flight, you sort of jerk back into position rather than it being smooth transition. Seems the motor arms have a lot of play and cannot hold you in a centered position.
    Any help appreciated.

No. I lie. It’s actually play in the servos themselves which make my chair rock side to side and back to front.

Hi, Has anyone here the Seat Mover MS2 or better the Seat Mover Pro MP2? And can report something about it? I'm just thinking about getting this or the Next Level Motion Platform v3. Unfortunately you will not find much information about the dofrealiy Seat Mover. Are there any special differences?

    Thanks

Woooah Noorbeast, a little harsh. :)

To be fair, I think the seat mover is new to DofReality. When I say new, I guess it's come out in the last year.

I personally have no experience of that seat mover and I don't think I have heard anybody else talking about it. I guess it's going to be pretty similar to the original 2 and 3 dof rigs in which case Noorbeasts suggestion is valid.

Looking at the Next Level Seat Mover against what I know about the DofReality rig I would suggest the Next Level rig would be more robust, just by the fact the Next Level seat mover uses linear actuators.

    Thanks Andy

Right. For the H and P platforms but almost nothing about the M seat mover. Of course, I have already read this thread and except for 2 or 3 posts, there is unfortunately not much to the seat mover and therefore just my question about it ;)

    Hey All,

I have read all the pages before and wanted to share my experience as I feel a lot has changed with this company from when this post started.

    Buying Experience:
I bought mine from eBay. I stumbled on it when I was looking for alternatives to the Next Level Motion Platform which is approx $4800 in australia with the seat, frame and accessories.
This looked awesome as its a full rig motion sim, cost $3420 aud shipped and looked 100 times better than the next level product. I did some research online, but not a heap and just decided to bite the bullet and see whats what. I ended up buying the H3 as the website said if I weighed less than 120kgs and used it for less than 2-3 hours daily I would be fine (I usually use it once every other day for an hour or two, so figured if they actively were not promoting the more expensive product, the base model must be really good).
I did need to pay customs and GST when it arrived in the country, this was all handled by TNT and added $380 to the price. So all in was still very reasonable at $3800
Tracking was via TNT and delivery was within a week and a half, so no issues at all with this.

    Unboxing:
Came in two very good quality boxes, everything was packed tight using lots of styrofoam.... I mean lots and lots of styrofoam. Everything was also wrapped with thin foam and taped well. Screws came in labeled bags and contained in its own box. Nothing was missing, nothing damaged.
The actual product seems really high quality. The frame is all powder coated and seems to be of high quality. the control box is very smart, all the plugs are colour coded and everything just felt premium.

    Build:
Build was very simple, instructions are next to useless though, they have vague steps outlined, but actual screws, bolts, washers etc are not really mentioned like a good ikea build manual. However they were good enough to get it done. Took me about 3 or 4 hours to put together, but thats because I had to go back and fix a few things (there are options during the build to make the rig shorter or longer, or higher or lower, I got all those options wrong!!!)
All the screws fitted in the holes perfectly and there was no need to re drill or adjust any part of it. I did have issues putting the pivot on for the platform, but if you have two people for this it would be much easier. I did everything using my own ratchet spanners and ratchet allen keys. I would hate to to do this with the tools provided (however the tools provided are actual reasonable quality and includes everything you would need). I did think about power tools, but recommend against it as you may bend the metal where the fastners meet the frame.
I used a replica Bride Low Max Carbon seat I bought on ebay for $375 which included rails, side mounts and the seat. Amazingly this fitted perfectly and not require any drilling.
I attached my ProtoSimTech PT2 Pedals, Fanatec 1.5 Shifter, Fanatec Clubsport 2,5 wheel and everything fitted without drilling (Upgrading to the DD1 wheel base next week).
All in all the build was excellent and easy
I was also super amazed at how compact it is, it takes up very little room!!

    Setup:
The included USB cable was not nearly long enough as I have my computer in front of my motion rig, not behind. I needed to buy a 5m cable, I dont think it is reasonable to expect this cable from DOFReality, but something to remember if you have a similar setup.
I then downloaded the software according to the manual, installed and found my product key waiting for me in my email (I forgot they even sent it!!)
I picked the H3 in the menu, plugged it in, picked Assetto corse in the down menu, hit patch game, and that was it. It was simple as pie.
It was a little too easy and I thought it wouldnt work. loaded the game, got in a car, everything was perfect, didnt need any more setup or tweaking. SUPER EASY!

    Conclusion:
For me this was a really easy experience, buying through eBay and PayPal was like any other purchase, shipping was quick, any dealing i had with DOFReality was quick and easy, shipped really quick, super quality components, easy build and setup. I would recommmend this to anyone, if you can assemble IKEA furniture and install simple software, you are set. Would just say instructions could be better, but overall this is highly recommended. I will report back if i have any issues, but based on initial impressions, it seems solid!

Hope this helps anyone considering the product

I can’t believe not a single P3/H6 user has upgraded to the 6dof all this time...maybe they have but they haven’t posted their review anywhere. Sigh....

I can't believe that there still are only a limited number of config/presets for the P6? If DOFReality are looking to sell these they should ensure that the rigs are supported much like the P3 and others.

I've had this since Feb 2017 and experimented with all sorts. I pretty much solved the front servo slack by adjusting CoG. Initially I hung an 8kg weight off the front but my new metal pedals now do the job. I'm still using the 8kg as I also have slack in the yaw/traction loss, so I've rigged up a cable and pulleys to keep a steady force on one side of that DOF.

People don't seem to complain too much about this - I guess they're mainly drivers rather than flyers and are getting thrown around a lot anyway.

Hi, is anyone using the srs (simracingstudio) software with there DOF reality rig? I think they are selling the rigs with this software now instead of simtools.

I may be wrong but I think the SRS software is for vibration only. I don't think its for motion.

Yes i beta tested it for them. Works fine but is not as advanced as simtools. However i think its great for novice users that just want a plug and play solution.

Thanks Splendidd, i think i will stick to using the simtools software for now then.

Does any one know if the arduino ibt_2 motor drivers can be swaped for off the shelf arduino ibt_2 drivers?
The reason i ask is one of mine failed, but the dof p3 came with a spare. So i swapped it with the spare and the motor worked again.
So i thought if i buy a few just incase it happens again.

I was able to just swap out a motor controller that blew so I guess it is straight forward.

    Hi Andy,
I have already swapped a motor driver and the motor worked again, the DOF P3 came with a spare motor driver.
Do you know if it is a standard Arduino ibt-2 driver that i can replace it with?
I have ordered a spare incase it fails again, but wanted to know if it is a standard thing i can replace.
    Thanks
