    Hello I am Ariel from Argentina. This is the beginning of my project in which I am acquiring the components to start the assembly.
    The electronics will be in charge of an ADUINO UNO R3 and 2 bridges BTS7960.
    I chose 2 engines of 250W at 75 RPM that are coniguen in China which are designed to motorize wheelchairs. Also buy 2 sensors hall 0-5V to 360º without stop in the rotation in replacement of lso potentiometers of 10K.
    For the connection of the motor shaft with the hall sensors I will use 2 aluminum GT2 pulleys in a 40-20 ratio with GT2 belts of 6mm width and 200mm length. In the beginning the structure will be made of wood.
    When you receive all the articles, I will start to try and upload new features of the project.

    Hi. As a novelty today I received these power supply that I got in my country at an excellent price. There are 2 new ones unused. I think they are the best sources that can be obtained. Pay for the 2 power supply U$S 100. The reference price is U$S 190 each.

    Hi Ariel. I am interested to see your progress. As we are using the same motors, it will be nice to share the experince. I could not find other people trying this wheelchair motors here in the forum.

    Yes, these engines are perfect. Although I think I should be thinking about using a sabertooth 2x32 because as I discuss the IBT-2 I do not think they will work

    Hello! Nice project! Im very interesed about those motors. Looking forward to see your progress. Btw Im using cheap IBT-2 with arduino uno on my sim and they seems to work fine. I had no problem at all.

    Hi. I still have to do more tests with the IBT-2. Normally when using them with 12V there are no problems. But when using 24V, the feedback voltage of the motors exceeds the working voltage of the IBT-2 and burns them. The solution is to place batteries in parallel to the power supply to stabilize the voltage. I'm in that testing stage

    Also can a diode and which be used to protect IBT-2? Schottky diode maybee?

    Are you using fans for those ibt-2. Pc fans cool them down quite good

    News: Here is a video of a test with SMC3 with the hall sensor mounted on the shaft. During this test the feedback problems disappeared. Probably I was demanding the engine too much during the previous tests with the hall sensor not coupled to the shaft .. Next test with simtools

    From what I see in the video, from that resistor comes the positive connector for the 2 fans

    I doubt. I think it is used to eliminate coil noise.
    But I can also see two diodes on + and - on power supply. This are used for to protect power supply but I really doubt that they are needed because IBT-2 would be burned first.

    Also would someone know if it would help to put two diodes on each motor to prevent back current flow and burning IBT-2 or would it create latency?

    Hi. Not yet. But they are very promising in terms of power and torque. Also the axis does not have slack.

    Hi. There are two tapes of motors with auto brake and without. The one you have is without. What does that mean for the simulator. Worm like motors have usually autolocking mechanism.
