You can't fix it yourself, it is a tracking based issue when pushed to its fidelity limits.

Valve actually increased the tracking resolution because it initially could not keep up with the best Beat Saber players, unfortunately our rigs with transducers are far quicker than them.

The question is: do we need additional controllers or you can navigate through menus etc. with this ??

Aha, of course you do, you need to attach one on the rig which reads the position from the lighthouses.

Of course it could be THE solution for us.
    Are the
    - sword trackers
    - pimax lighthouses and
    - hand tracking device part of “full 8KX system” ?

Is this written somewhere that those unit are so fragile that they can’t handle accelerations above a certain g amount ?

Base stations have very high speed spinning components that require stability for precision and definitely can't be mounted to a rig.

It depends on the game. If the game use the device to track your hands and use it to control the buttons and switches in the game. You could actually replace a controller.

I had ordered the device in my kickstarter pledge. But I am thinking of asking for a rebate instead to lower the headset.

They give an additionnal 100$ rebate to the 8KX buying plan. I guess nobody was interested in their upgrades and they have to lower the prices. And we have until December 31th to do it. Maybe, I'll be able to get one.

Valve's lighthouse 2.0 still looks like a rotary device. I doubt it could work now.

Just finished watching the Pimax VR Days live stream... well the hype is real for the 8K+ and 8KX, with glowing reviews from the people who tested them. I will be keeping my 5K+ loaner and have also selected the Valve Base Stations and Controllers as I have waited long enough . Hope Pimax's stated Dec delivery for backers actually happens.

I've got a little new about my e-mail communication with Pimax. I was asked if I was a backer. I said yes and that I wish to remove cable and hand tracking device to reduce the price two days ago. Waiting for another reply.

Pimax - 'it's all about the delays' - have just sent me a email...seems that I won't be getting my 8KX until April 2020... everything else is also delayed from last estimates by various amounts  How concrete are those dates .. who knows . I will believe it is real when it turns up on my door step.

Latest email from Pimax informs that they have found the issue with the 8KX (bad cable) which emerged at VR Days and now expect to be able to move into production. New Delivery estimate ? - seems they are too scared to speculate ...

For the split image, have you set the "Compatible with parallel projections" ?
For the 125 hz, I have no idea.

Tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of the reduction for upgrade of Pimax. I wanted to get a new 8KX, but I decided to decline. The main reason is that I do not have the money to invest in such expensive toys. The other reason is that they refused to let me use the coupon that I had for my Vive for the upgrade.

They tell me that I could use it for any headset, and after I sent my Vive to them, they tell me I cannot use it for the upgrade plan. I ask them where it was specified, and of course, they give me no answer what so ever.

So, I have a coupon for 170$ for a "new" Pimax headset that I have to get rid of if someone is interested.
    PM me.
