    Hey guys!
I need your knowledge once again. ;)

I‘m in my first steps to build a simple 2 Dof Seatmover with 12v wipers.

    My Wipers are RIDEX 295w0010

They‘re already coming with a bold shaft on the lever side.

Any ideas where i can place a pot here???

I thought about turning the backplate off and gluing a bolt on it or something...

or is it better to extend the motor shaft and connect it to the pot?
i concerned this, because there is no lever full turn possible then anymore :/

    i really need some advise.

thank you guys, great community here!
    :)

I set mine up with a 3D printed "socket" that slips over the nut. I got the potentiometers with a flat shaft so I could just slide them into the printed piece vs needing a set screw or something like that on a round shaft.

but there is still the problem with no possible turnaround, isn‘t it?

Yes, I suppose it does limit the rotation some, though I was only planning to use about 45 degrees each way. Is there are reason you are looking for more rotation than that? You lose the mechanical advantage of the lever as the angle increases, so you need a lot of torque if you want to go more than 45 degrees. Most seat mover designs don't use more than that from what I've seen here at least.

not a real reason. i read somewhere here that the possibility of a free rotation prevents me of damaging something.

Ah, that's fair. I could see having settings wrong when you are first setting things up that could cause your motors to turn more angle than you were expecting. I'll have to watch for that myself if I ever get around to building my frame mover.

    hey there!
I just wanted to share how I solved my problem in the starting post.
maybe there some other members who are asking the same i did.

I decided to extend the shaft of my one-sided wiper motor, but to get the possibility of a full turnaround I placed the the pot-gears behind the lever. I used the gear of simukit, however you can use any other...

hope this will help someone! ;)
