Coming along real nice man! I'm also probably mount a monitor just for when a game doesnt support VR or if i just don't feel like it. Plus easier to get tuning and stuff when alot of keyboard work is required haha. probably just get a super ultra wide thing.

have you seen these mate.. they look to work pretty well!

Yes I have seen them but I think from what I've seen they are more of a problem than a resolution, reflecting the image cause a mirror which moves the wrong way just better with a thin bezel IMO.

yes I have vorpx but its implementation is not the best for a lot of games and some games you just dont want to play in VR.

Sorry for not updating much but ive had nearly 2 months of torture with the Odrives. Love hate relationship at the moment but they are working.

First real race test around 2 hours use and no issues apart from pulling a encoder cable out which was my fault. motors were cool and the odrives fairly warm , happy days

Excuse the driving I've been out the game for 3 months need to get practicing again lol the detail is incredible compared to my old setup I could feel the flat spots in my tyres after heavy lock ups through the actuators as well as my steering wheel.

what is the deal with the odrives ? are you struggling to control the motors at lower currents ?

@SilentChill Excellent work mate! I've been flip-flopping between Thanos and ODrive to drive my system but the more I see coming from you and Wickie the more confident I am that your option is the way of the future. Is there any chance you could pop the most important info on a word document for future reference? Chances are I'll be reaching out to you, Wickie, Zenneth and Insecta Tech when the time comes to start programming and calibrating the ODrives but it won't be for a few months yet, and all the minor details you've had to deal with might be forgotten as time goes by.

Either way, great work dude :)

No just the whole setting them up and getting them calibrated and working. No problem ow they are running it's just getting the right settings which took a long time, and having the correct firmware

    Hi silent chill ,
In your different video, you don't talk about the limit switches . Are you using them finally ?
    Thanks for your answer :)

    Mr SilentChill...

lets say I am VERY impressed with your Design of the 6 DOF Simulator... Respect !

Being an airline pilot for 25 years now, we train , fly and do our exams in real huge 6DOF Simulators, and as yours comes as close to the real deal you immediatley got my attention :) .... haha .... a few months ago I was pointed out to the SFX-100 Sim setup as that would fit my Sim Rig quite easily, but having my doubts about the movement and missing the real 6 DOF freedom of the design, and add-ons...

Than I stumbled across your Videos on Youtube, which I watched quite a few times now , and also totally being prepared and checked out your components. I am for sure ready to build my own DIY 6DOF Motion Rig...

I did build my own OSW Wheel a few years ago, so I am definitely up for the challenge of Building my own 6DOF sim rig...

    However I have a few questions :

    - I could order all the parts and stuff needed, but as read before as well, without the 3D printer files there is no way to get building right now. Are the files already available somewhere !?

    - Being frustrated with the O-Drives , doesn't sound that good, but as you managed to get all setup the right way and more, could you make a tutorial or video, explaining some more info about the issues and how you eventually got it fixed... ( i guess if we all start to contact @RobsonSwiss the might get exhausted ;) ) if posible with files...

    - the 600mm 160 5 Ballscrew spindles are not available anymore, do you have some tips to point me out for some good ones that especially will fit with your 3D print design.

Thanx a lot and i am looking forward to you answers !

With Regards and respect ... Patrick :)

You mentioned in the video that you reduced voltage to overcome some tripping problems. 30 something if I remember correctly.
Are you still using the power supply in your first post?
And if so, how did you reduce the input voltage from the 42V?

It seems that he uses finally a 35 V 15A 540 W PSU to supply two motors, but i don't understand how it can be enough ? One motor is 2450 W power. OK you have the odrive that adapts the power compared to what motor need in reality . However, if @SilentChill can give us a simple explaination about this question by using his experience ?

    @SilentChill

Can you give us, to compare with my 6 dof, dimensions between each actuators for the upper and lower base ?
Have you measure maximum angles for different important positions and verifiy possible collisions at the front of the rig ?

    Thanks
