    Watching this topic closely. Nice to see other ways to use these motors and drivers in a much cheaper way then with a granity driver.

    Maybe, exploring ways to produce some boards without cost too much and without taking much of my time that I need to develop on the actuator servo systems.

    Its not my development anyway and have no access to the source of MMOS firmware to improve it further.

    Also I hear complaints about the AASD servos have 2500 CPR encoders (10000 positions per revolution) and that is not enough. But that is up to AASD manufacturers to provide higher resolution encoders if that is possible.

    To me seems detailed enough, but you know, always someone will try to compare it with $1000 steering wheels...

    Remember Guys this Project "is what it is" , Seen by some as a potentially decent entry level DD FFB wheel setup , not/never meant to perform on same level as Bodnar , Simcube OSW etc but that it's another diy branch, but based on the idea that we can benifit from what its performance allows as is, and that with increased user feedback the options for refinement and improvement usually comes along with the journey, this much i have learnt through this community :)

    if theres a way to improve it i then members will find it, point to it , and chime in with ideas we always do so Win Win either way . these are exciting times ,developments fast and furiious progress keep coming now all we gotta hope is that Lockdown comes to end soon LOL and we can crack on

    Thanos, one of the suggestions just to try, to use a bit lighter wheel, but that's cool with this too. And give a try with EMC on arduino. It's kinda powerful then MMOS.

    1.2 kg is alright. I don't know. Generally recommended to hold it lightweight.

    The speed limit seems too low for LUT generator.
    OSW is about 200 rpm.
    Squeaks are normal sounds of industrial ac servo speed limits.
    You can see it by setting it extremely low.

    General Question , will the above wheel check test show more or less favourable results if using the 130ST-M10015 (15NM) motor instead of the 90ST version using the controller and standard encoder ?

    @Thanos where did you buy your 90ST motor and driver? And how much did you pay?

    Weighing up the options between a 130ST and a 90ST as shipping to South Africa for the 130ST is US$200+. Shipping for the 90ST is significantly cheaper.
