You could try adjusting the packet rate in the config file (located in the AppData folder at SimTools/MFS2020/SimConnect_UDP_config.txt). You might just have to turn down the graphics of the game, though.

Awesome work Icy, I have the steam version and this plugin worked right off the bat, that being sad I do have the issue of the motion stopping after a few minutes.

Restating everything seems to have fixed the issue
Thanks for the response! Can you explain how that value works? Does going higher with the value slow things down or is it the opposite? Sorry for the ignorant question.

The value is the number of times per second that motion data is sent to the plugin. In theory, a higher value means smoother motion, but if it's too much for your computer to handle it could wind up slowing the game down. It's also probably hard to distinguish much of a difference above 100 times per second.

I cant seem to find SimConnect.dll. What i do find is Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll. This does not patch for me. Any suggestions. (this is the MS version not Steam.)

You have to enable the developer mode in general settings. Once enabled, you will see a menu at the top left hand side of the screen. Under the help menu there should be an SDK submenu from which you can select install SDK. Once it’s downloaded, you can install it, and the files are installed in C:\MSFS SDK, from there I can’t remember where, but simconnect.dll is there.

additionally, the plugin author includes simconnect.dll. It’s located in appdata\local\simtools\msfs2020

I have noticed that the plugin crashes when you are trying to tune your settings in the Tuning center. It seems like doing it while the game is running causes crashes. Also you should lower UDP bit rate to 60 or 70.

Hi, thanks you so much for the plugin. I’m an amateur and it is so difficult to understand How to install it with SimTools.
Could somebody post on YouTube a quick tutorial video to install the plugin?
    Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I think that all the errors I've seen posted can be attributed to bugs that this update fixes. Make sure to re-patch the game so that all the files are updated.

Let me know if you run into any more issues!

From what I've seen online, I think that the file Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll can provide the motion data in the same way as SimConnect.dll. The new update looks for either file in the MFS installation directory. I don't have the MS Store version of the game, though, so let me know if there are issues.
