Jeeze.. I have not even considered painting my frame yet.. (it's been 8 months). I'm just having fun racing it! I probably will swap the seat for an aluminum one like the Kirkey 55 (which means I will have to rebalance the rig for optomum performance (*AGAIN).. but right now, the 3dof rig is awesome.. So not trying to stray you away from your baby, but Mine works just fine.. and I have a ton of videos on it on my YT channel DMAX

    Hi.

I will post pictures this weekend of the current state. It's almost done :)

I've been testing and playing with Simtools but I have one problem: it seems that the pitch axis (the one that controls acceleration and braking) is inverted. Did I connect something wrong in the Arduino/SMC3?

    Halloween2go,

    Thanks.

Just out of curiosity...why did the axis needed to be inverted?
Did I connect something wrong in the motor drivers?
What should I invert to prevent needing to invert in the software?

The DIR boxes being checked orange or not determine which way each axis moves, do if the pitch axis is inverted you can fix it with the DIR settings, this is what SimTools expects: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

For race sims be mindful of the Axis Allocation totals: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/axis-assignment-percentage-totals.120/

Once you get the rig moving seeing the tuning tips here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Hello, how are you! I noticed you have installed a conventional steering wheel.
I'm wondering - what kind of motor is installed there and how is it controlled?
