    Hi all!
That's it, I gave in!! With your nonsense, I ended up giving in!
So here is my simulator currently:

Reproduced in 3D to bring the mobile part:

Some reproduction flaws like the steering wheel and the seat ... but I didn't want to bother redesigning them.

The idea is to raise the frame so that the seat stays at the same height and I don't have to move the rest.
I would like to do something similar to this, closed with good cooling, so as not to have to dust it everyday:

It would be mounted on the seat rails in order to move the assembly without shifting the seat CDG.
2 120w motors are planned, driven by Arduino.

    Some progress!
I positioned according to Wanegain's tutorial (well if I understood everything correctly ...) and it gives this:

Then I touched up the back of the chainring because it was hitting the angle iron on which the motor is fixed in case the latter decides to make a full revolution:

Do specialists see errors or am I on the right way?

Have a play with SimCalc, that will help you get your head around design Vs physics tradeoffs: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

Turning the levers to face the opposite way and moving the connection point out as far as possible on the top frame would help.

In a compact design torque is more important that lever linear speed. Personally I use 200W motors with 60:1 wormdrives on my compact rig, and have maximised the inherent leverage as much as possible within the confines of its small footprint.

    Yes of course!
I began with this setup. I builded with tube and sheetmetal with a Peugeot 306's seat. It had to be compact on wheels.

Later I changed my setup and did a frame with wood. I also modified a handbrake from AE and builded a SQ shifter.

Today i have the same setup, with improved SQ shifter, mod on my CSPV1 (spring and elastomere), and mod on may shifter inspired on upscaliber.

And now it's time to move my ass with a seat mover!

Looks really good. You can improve motion with so many posted builds. You are gifted with home built simulator. Spend the time searching and reading many projects.

Some advancements! The mechanics are not easy !! Fortunately, there are specialists to help out!

Here is an animation with the maximum operating angles, then to finish a full turn to check for possible collisions.

Chassis mounted, pointed, the platform is ready. Blank assembly planned to precisely define the center of gravity, then assembly of the mechanics / electronics.

The next step will be to put the seatmover in motion. If everything works as expected, I will drill the holes for the slides under the frame, then final welding and painting.
I am thinking of doing a test period to find out if a camber would be relevant, or if it is better to leave open to breathe.

Small animation of everything assembled, while waiting for Friday to assemble the rest!
It seems that the seat is hitting the shifters brackets. it will surely be necessary to plan to shift there ...

The blank assembly was carried out, the electronic / mecanic tests are conclusive.

Yesterday welding, today painting and attempted assembly ...

I understood why there was a nut between the seat and the slides when I wanted to mount them to the frame: it is to allow play and activate the handle.

So to wait, I mounted bolts on the platform to hang the harnesses on the sides.

And I mounted my new TV support arms, the others were way too soft.

After researching the reaction of each effect to steer the engines in my opinion, here is the first test lap on Spa with the Lotus Exos.

Tomorrow we assemble all this on the chassis!

    Mating took place!

Assembly of the slide handle after folding in order to be able to operate it:

Installation of the extensions mounted on the rubber feet:

Beginning of the assembly, it gets stuck a little ...

    No problem! [IMG] [IMG]

    Seat assembly:

    And here we are ready!
Only problem, impossible to properly tighten the cranks ... I can tighten like a donkey they turn around the axis of the motors ...

I'll make a part like in this diagram and recalibrate the motors to align:

I tried the cut washer, it does not work, it will be necessary to offset the hole.

I also moved the bass shaker that I had under the seat under the shifters, it will be dedicated to changing gears.

    First test on chassis!

I'm going to have to stiffen the TV hooking system, and sort out this crank thing before putting my ass in it.

And an emergency stop button, that seems essential to me

Hi Noorbeast, can you please share the RPM noload and rpm under load of your 200 watt motor. Is it 12volt or 24 volt dc motor? and your CTC lever distance. Thanks for the help. Ed.

Hi Noorbeast, Did you mean 1800RPM? which means at wormgear ratio of 1:60, the 60 mm lever is making 30 rpm? Thanks. Ed
