I have not been able to find a real good video on how to convert a static rig into a 2DOF sim. So I made one that covers a lot of the topic. I know you guys are experts on this, so I figured I would share out the the video. This is part one of two, which covers Arduino, IBT2, hall effect pots, SMC3 and isolating ground on Windshield wiper motors. The content is pretty solid. - The follow up video will cover modding a static sim rig for motion and simtools setup. Thanks for looking.. DMAX motion sim channel on youtube.

Alright big Man. Found you here. Good. Welders here. Got motors, arduino and project boards, IBT2s are ordered, 2 of the 4I need anyway. Power unit will order next month. Great. Think I may have cocked up buying the 24v motors though. The IBT 2s will run 12 v.

The IBT's apparently can run 24 volts.. that's what I'm going to do here.. If the smoke comes out, we will know they Lied on the specs.. but I think they are good up to 36 volts according to their data sheet.. Dave

    Hi,
I use ibt on 24v, 2x on one motor and runing fine.
Begining when I run on one - hot a lot , turn off by inside safety or burn (6 of them go for scrap in my case)
They runing wheelhair motors - some 200-300w 24v, power suply stabilized 24v siemens

Hi, thanks.. This is my first time using Converters. They are supposed to be good to 25 amps.. In my latest video I was actually able to 'test' the stall amps for one of the motors. Pretty close to 20 amps sometimes. But further testing is needed once I get both motors 'working' with my weight in the seat. Check out the video if you have time.. I put an ATV brake on one of the motors to get a good 'stall amp' reading.. DMAX

Nice .. I did take some looks at this.. Full frame rig.. The action looks great! Nice work.. I want to try and make the upper frame out of something lighter than steel on my 3dof RIG mod.. It works fantastic but If the motion frame (upper frame) was lighter, I'm sure it would respond accordingly Power to weigh.. Thanks DMAX

I imagine that the 360 may need some modification to the arduino code readings A0 A1, A2?
