Have you tested and determined the load caring capacity?

    Hi
Thank you for your interest Noorbeast.
I made the measurements myself for 1 wippermotor,
    I got :
    arm 11 cm
    force : 10 kg,
    first
I want to check the operation on single motors,
    next
check the operation on double motors,
    et the end put springs
    best regards

i think that arm is too long, if they work, they will work for just short amount of time...

wiper motor is low power motor, so to compensate that, just use short arm/short stroke...

in my project, i just use only 2 cm of arm lenght, its better for me because it can work for long time and the motor doesnt get hot in continous use...

im just using 12v wiper motor...
even the 24v wiper motor, have not much rated power different with 12v motor...

    Hi
I know you are right Ahoenksiluman. :)
And what strength should each actuator at 6 dof have to work properly?
    I know power 750 W is OK
    And strength? :sos
    best regards

    Nice project!!!
An alternative idea if your wipers do not have todo much force could be..

    1. Once You have your SEAT attached to your 6 motor arms, pull up your SEAT with a cable connected thru a pulley, in one end of the cable, You have your SEAT, on the other end, You have a counter weight, so..

Your motors won't be more powerful, your SEAT Will be ligher because of the counter weight... The more You weight the bigger counter weight You need... Aldo You could use a pulley arrangement and create a hoist, and You Will need smaller counterweight...

If You like the idea letme know

    Hi
    Thank you femslash
I'd rather use springs than counterweight. But I would like to see a solution?
    best regards

Hi tadek, I hope your idea of a wiper-powered 6 dof works out, then I might try the same!

Have a look at my build, which is also based on wiper motors working in pairs.

    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/2-dof-motion-rig-using-4-wiper-motors-arduino.16691/

I'm using 4 motors for 2 DOF and I can confirm that they are not very strong - 4 motors feel adequate for 2 DOF and my rig is supported by a universal joint close to the center of gravity. So, your motors will have to work harder. I think 12 motors might work for 6 DOF if you keep the frame light (mine isn't).

My motion sim can blow up a 30A fuse and works well with a 40A fuse and a 750W power supply protected by a diode and a capacitor.

40A x 12V = 480 watts for 4 motors, which is 120W per motor. So, we are looking at 1500W for your rig with 12 motors. For reference, the arms attached to my motors are 65mm.

Gas springs should work as weight support. I'm using some as shock absorbers but they should also work as support with the pressure ports closed.

    hi
power supply is 6 computer power supplies 400w.
motors are 24 Vwiec power supplies will be combined in pairs
    2 x12v -800W
    3x 24V (800W)=2400W
