Hi everyone, this was my first creation in this field and I wanted to share to you all, and hope I can get some feedback cause I just started to gather some material to build my own 2dof motion.
and I thank everyone in this community for all the tips they have posted. I would never have been get the courage to start it without everyone's help.
I started with the design and gather some material that I need.

used cheap motor, the seller say it was a wire feeding mechanism dc motor, hope it can do the job.

And I'm gonna use this aluminum size 3030 and 3060 to build my rig. hope I can utilize its rigidity and light weight.

little update, done with the potensio mechanism.
use my son's cheap lego wheel and wrap it with Timing Belt HTD3M. works great.

    Update, done with the electronic.
Not a tidy work, or clean build, but hope it can do the job.

    Short clip for the movement.
    It's so rough.
Still figuring out how to make it smooth.

    finally testing phase on LFS.
you can see the feedback is so rough. Its so scary to be on it.
I have to decrease a lot of force to make it ride able.
need some help and tips to make itu smoother. thx.

See the FAQ motion profile tuning tips here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

You have not included it but likely you need to capture the Tuning Center Max/Min values and then tune from there. Keep in mind the the BIGGER the value the smother the motion, over a larger axis range, and the SMALLER the TC value the sharper the motion, over a smaller axis range.

To qualify for a free license:

    • You must be building a true DIY motion simulator. (Not built from a kit or purchased from a simulator seller, a model simulator does not qualify.)
    • Have a unique build thread or Showcase in DIY Simulator Projects. (The thread should show some effort, which means it should show progress to the rig testing phase.)
    • Have been a member of the community for at least 30 days.

So in your case your project meets most of the criteria, except membership for at least 30 days.

You leave motion enabled when refining a motion profile. If your base settings are way too harsh manually change the Tuning Center to higher values and then capture Max/Mins, followed by tweaking to suit personal preferences.

    Hi all.
Been playing LFS for about 15minutes just for testing, the motor and bts2 motor driver get warm.
So I wonder if you all that build 2dof motion can share your experience, and for how long the motor can be used, until it get too hot?
Sorry for my English. Hope you all can understand it well.

Dont hurry up with licence, this truck on LFS demo i best to configure sim.
I try to do my rig as quick as posible to get licence and try other games ... I instal dirt rally immediately... but if You dont learn how adjusting rig before on LFS ... than rig will try to kill You :D:D:D
but seriously you can add an extra ibt for the motor and replace the potentiometers with hall sensors. Sensor cables should probably be well shielded. in mine I will change because one motor heats up excessively and only the cable passes by the ibt in the difference with the mirror motor.

lol.. I agree with you. first time I get on, it nearly throw me to side.
yes, now I get a get more smooth experience after read the guide that @noorbeast give me.
btw, how much ibt should I used for 2 motor? its not enough 1 each for the motor?
and yes, I'm in a thigh budget so potensio at the moment, maybe in a near future I'll upgrade it to hall sensor.

and I wanna share a little update after I equip it with my pvc DIY pedals.

I found on forum information about 2 ibt2 on one motor (that was inspired from guide about monster moto shield - not offer in Poland and low quality from China -information from other threats)
I was go that way after burn several of them , later when all was runing they have hot a lot.
You can look on my threat I was try describe as much I can. I was focus on points when I stop and "waste" time to serch how to.
Halls are cheap if You go to print housing :)

You done guide about Your diy whell its interested, propably is more powerfull than g29?

    Regards

now I'm gonna install my DIY bass shaker to the rig. to get more feedback from the road and engine revving.

Congrats on getting your rig moving :thumbs

Try manually setting differentiated Max/Min values in the Tuning Center for Surge, that should give the effect of snappy gear changes: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/snappy-gear-change-motion.121/
