Thanks all, I've been trying to get this to work for a few weeks.
    After creating a plugins folder in bin32. I patched to D/Steam/Steam app/common/Rfactor2.
I tried to patch to plugins then bin32, those didn't work. When I patched to Rfactor2, that's what worked.

    Hello all,

A bit off a long shot but anyway.. So never had issues with motion and Rfactor 2, untill now with the indycar ir-18. It has to do with the sway effect. I`m using an sfx100 simulator and with this car with sway turned on there is very erratic and violant movement from left to right when going down a straight. Cornering is not really an issue. Also when approaching top speed the car tends to lean to one side. It`s behaviour I have not had in any other car.

For now I have to turn the sway effect off when using this car. Anyone having the same issue or a fix?

    Hey Noorbeast,

See attached pictures. I can`t see it has anything to do with these settings. With similar cars, like the mclaren mp4/13) I don`t have any issues. I have tried to up the smoothing to 25, but the strange behaviour on the straights stays but less erratic. My feeling is it has to do with the physics of the car.

I don't know what your rig is, but likely your motion profile needs considerable work as in its current form there would probably be some strange outputs.

Axis Assignments if shared between axis are way too high and would cause clipping: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/axis-assignment-percentage-totals.120/

I would suggest not using smoothing or other filters until you have a solid base motion profile sorted.

I would suggest adding and properly configuring roll and pitch.

Grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

Then see the motion profile tuning tips here, in particular initially do each axis individually, then enable all and tweak from there: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Thanks for your replies. I will do some studying. I use the thanos4u board.

I have upped the value of the tuning center to make it less sensitive and use a higher number in the axis tuning. I have done this with most sims.

@Daguru can you tell if the ir-18 drives normally over a straight with the sway affect? Thanks!

@noorbeast why roll and pitch effect? I prefer only sway and surge. What does it add in your opinion? thanks.

This was an early testdrive with rbr. I thought it was working good.

Roll and pitch will not only add things like elevation changes, but combine contribute to things such as riding curbs.

Is it perhaps a Windows permission issue?

I managed to patched the plugin. so that it interests. In the root of the game, you must create a "Bin32" folder copies the "plugin" folder from the BIN 64 folder in the "BIN32" folder and patched the plugin on the "RFACOR2" folder and not in "BIN32"

Follow the procedure written in the previous comments and questions. You will find your happiness. You have to create the 32bits folder yourself in the root of the game.
It's not complicated but you will need a minimum of programming knowledge if you want to get there. Otherwise you will need outside help to do the manipulation. Good luck to you.
