    it's good...
    just need to select serial...
I managed to fill everything except port which has nothing selectable maybe I have to connect the arduino?

    hello

at the same time as i'm trying to learn how to use sim tool i wanted to check that my simulator respects the expected angles (10degrees for 60 degree crank)

i followed a tutorial and respect the dimensions, calcul and check with simcalc beta (where I'm not sure I understand everything)

Simcalc and tutorial give me 10 degrees but it's not..

    IMG_20220530_125909.jpg
In the software with the position of the seat at zero the cranks have an angle of +/-45 degrees (to the eye)
I thought that the zero position of the seat equals the zero position of the cranks?

    it is written
"when measuring your motor position, measure from the center of the CTV "
but in the diagram measuring her after the axe..
    IMG_20220530_130708.jpg
I do not understand what is "ctc rest angle"
is this angle it illustrate (+ / 45) or angle it can do will set in simtool (60)?
    IMG_20220530_131021.jpg 16539097325392381307120442760876.jpg

as I read "when levers is at zero make sure that make the rod angle 90 with ctc levers"

crank in my case was zero degrees
    (real, parallel to the ground)
my rod through the center which gives me 83 degrees,so if I want 90 I have to climb the crank 7 degrees

    What is z (-8)?

    hello

after many modifications I can not say that it is finished because this type of project will always evolve but the simulator is functional.

the engines (2dof) have been moved further from the gimbal (lever arm calculation error)
    IMG_20220624_091035.jpg IMG_20220624_091134.jpg
    the subframe (yaw) was manufactured
    IMG_20220618_200824.jpg
and the 2 dof frame equipped with roller
    wheel and many reinforcements.
    IMG_20220614_115333.jpg IMG_20220615_195355.jpg
a difficult point was the precise positioning of the upper connecting rod fixings for the 2 dof part which was welded and unsoldered many times before succeeding exactly in the right place in the 3 axes.
    IMG_20220609_121427.jpg
I used a laser and filleting to position before welding.

the bearing axle is adjustable in height to follow the wear of the wheels (lower frame) and not to put too much stress on the bearing

the yaw motor had to be modified at the level of the axis also like the 2 dof to install the hall sensor.

on the video the 24v motors (150 rpm 110nm) works at 12v (75 rpm 55nm) in smc3 the power is at maximum and in sim tool 50%. I am very surprised at the power of the motors at 100% the simulator throws me out, so I guess it will remain in 12v 50% of their capacities by the voltage and 50% decrease also in sim tool...it currently works + /- at 25% of their maximum power.

here I will try to give as much information as possible, if you have any questions, need dimensions or anything do not hesitate.

I spent a little less than 2 months to get to this stage. (with a lot of errors and corrections)
    the simulator cost me 300e
    -37e per motor (110e)
    -3 ibt-2 10e
    -an Arduino Uno r3 18e
    -10e of cable
    -40e of sensor halls
    -100e of metal
    -15e of the connecting rods

    Free stuff:

-3 fans for ibt-2 was recovered on old pc
    -additional radiator also
-the wheels come from rollerblading in the trash
-the universal joint dismantled from a wreck that I had (BMW E36 318 TDs)
    -some piece of metal
-some wire and half capacity old 12v battery (E36)

I had no knowledge in the field before starting and I am basic very bad in computers (thank you to all who helped me specially noorbeast and to holloween2go for that last video which helped me to understand how to work with simtool)

    hi

i can't connect my simulator with nolimit
it works with assetto and lfs.
I patched well I tried Steam and not Steam (demo) I add --telemetry
sim tool tells me that it is connected but no data input in tuning center and nothing moves.

in the plugin it is written that 'it doesn't work with the demo but in the updates it says it works so I don't know.

I followed the video of @Halloween2go but I don't no if it is full or demo

    Thanks

NL2 requires the telemetry flag plus as far as I am aware the full version: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/no-limits-2-v2-2-and-higher-how-to-activate-telemetry.198/

    Thank you very much

it was just out of curiosity to see the reactions of the simulator.

I mainly use assetto corsa only in drift
I spent hours trying different settings following the simtool instructions.

the min max capture step with a middle power m3 E30 drift (original assetto) as reduced the sway and surge axes enormously, it did not move anymore.

So i left the original parameters.

From the start, I was focusing on power and torque of motor because I read that the more there were, the better it would be.

But finally already in 12v it was too brutal I had to lower pwmmax in smc3 from 255 to 120 to obtain softer, "realistic" movements.

I wonder what would be the point of using their full power at 24v?

traction lost effect works great in the output testing (if I move yaw it comes back to the center slowly).

but in the game it does not come back but just makes the return changing direction (too) faster.

and for wash out it produces a very strange effect at 5km/h if I turn the steering wheel yaw moves in depending on the steering wheel direction...

i tried all sorts of % but the most "realistic" result remains to decrease the power of the motors 2 dof with a compromise between losing responsiveness and gaining smoothness and for yaw no effect.

have you noticed any differences between testing an effect in simtool and in games like me with assetto or another game?

    I tried again with extra1
    I get the same result
I did other tests washout causes a return to the center in the game but it does not vary with the angle so it amounts to no effect except that it takes less angle

    https://youtube.com/shorts/Ndi03s-k9tU?feature=share

and gain if I exceed 1% even 5% the loss of traction starts when turning the steering wheel
