    Hi all,

    I'm Paul from the Netherlands.

After selling my playseat with t500 rs 2 years ago i got back into simracing with a new rig see further for the details.

I'm building an active seatbelt tensioner and motion for the first time its a project to start and when its working fine and i know how to program it i will start building a 3dof.

The mechanics are finished i start with one steppermotor nema 23 i can alwas upgrade to two of bigger motors.

    I have for electronics:

    Arduino uno
    Tb 6600 microstep driver
    nema 23 stepper motor 3,5A
    LRS 50 powersupply 12v max 4,5A

    I run the simtools software

Now i only need a code for the arduino to start with and i have no idea where to start is there anyone that can help i'm good in mechanical work but programming is another thing.

    For my rig i run:
    -80-20 simlab gt
    -lcd seat
    -sabelt 6point harnes

    -Fanatec csw 2.5
-Fanatec csl elite pedals with loadcell
    -Fanatec p1 rim

-home made seq shifter (feels really good and mechanical i wil make a thread from the build)
-home made handbrake (button operated for now but wil update to loadcell in the future after i learned to program)
-home made 7 and reverse Hshifter (feels really good and mechanical i wil make a thread from the build) its based on the Frex h shifter design)
-home made dash from old sony phone running dashpanel and build a nice case around it

    -Msi 27inch 165hz screen
    -home build pc specs:
    *Gigabyte X570 gamingX
    *AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
    *Corsair 850w
    *Gigabyte RX5700XT Aorus 8G
    *Samsung SSD M2
    *2x 16GB 3200 RGB pro veng.
    *Cablemod sleaved cables
    *NZXT Kraken x63 watercooler

I hope someone can help me getting started with the programming.

@Lebois recently built actuators using steppers, so may be able to offer some advice.

Hi. Nice rig. I will be watching your thread. For now I try to do belt tensioner with DC brushed motor. But I have some problems. I also wonder how it's working with stepper motor. Good luck

I had al lot of these Parts i had already so thats why is try steppermotor.

made a test board this evening so i can start testing

@Krzysztof Dej what problems do you encounter? 6E8FDC22-C51C-44C6-8728-1860A949C4D1.jpeg 53ABA6D3-C946-4247-8E96-298AA186B2B7.jpeg

Wow. Can u show whot is this controller and how u wire it from motor to arduino? Why these switches is for? My problem was that motor caused a short circuit when I mount it on rig somehow. Now I'm waiting for 3d printing part to separate it from rig. But I see now I have another problem with Smc3Utils config. My 2dof motors config doesn't work with this small motor. So I see i will have a lots of play with it

    The controller is a bt6600

the Wiring is not ready yet i’m going to figure it out today and try To write a code I Made the switches because i can do Some testing (basics) i never wrote a code before the black switch on the left is for cutting powersupply with one toutch just in case.

Wen i figured out wiring i write it here

It's easy for me to upgrade but for now i first need to get it running i never programmed/write code before so when i know how to do that i can modify it in 2/3 hours to a double motor setup

@hoyang i watched your project looks really nice can you help me with code and wiring to get started.

    Little update,

I orderd ibt 2 motorcontroller and wipermotor.

why? Because there is way more to Found About coding and wiring so i think Its an easyer route To start with motionsimulation.

    made a Nice electronics box today C6C723D7-13F9-49C2-9E22-61F44114DAE5.jpeg FD46A4B1-49AB-49DB-BAD0-004AE3144685.jpeg 4EC9648C-EB8C-4D2A-8F80-2D2C6F564D64.jpeg

the Wiper motor is on Its way do i hope I can do Some testing this evening.

can i use the arduino code for 2/3 dof and only use it on one motor?

Yes you can use code such as SMC3 with just one motor.
