does anyone know if this plugin has wind support? I'm using it normally for the movement platform, and the dash works for several things, including speed, but I can't get the wind to work. I've already tried some things like the traditional lines of programming "Math*2, round 0, PAD 3 0" for example... in the output I put "S<Sp1", then I tried just "<Sp1".... but it didn't work right. if someone managed to make it work please post here how you did it! thanks.

When I try to use it with simhub, it seems like there's a crash. Is there a way?

Since the game is sending UDP packets, only one app can grab them or you will have a port conflict.
So you will need to send the data to one app and then forward the packet to the other app.

I'm asking because the proxy server had an error before port forwarding and it couldn't run.

Running SimHub, an error occurs, and not running SimHub, it will run normally.

    I already that know how.

Regardless, an error appears even if you specify a different port on the sim hub.

This error appears when the simhub is running regardless of the port change.

I think that's why we need to change the port in gt7proxy.

    Hi,
Is it possible to do something about the sway output of GT7? With the max filtering and dead zone it still flicks from left to right even mid corner, thanks.

After some difficulties, I have put together a step-by-step guide that can help anyone play GT7 with motion through this plugin:

    • Use version 3.0 of SimTools, install the GT7 plugin available in the SimTools 3.0 plugin tab. Click on Plugins, Repo (lower left-hand side), Consoles, GT7.
    • Configure forces in movements (Roll, Pitch, etc.).
    • Connect the video game and the computer to a router that is not heavily used by other devices. If possible, use a dedicated router for this.
    • Turn on the video game and locate its IP address and make a note of it. If possible, configure the video game with a fixed IP address (see YouTube for instructions on how to do this).
    • Download the GT7Proxy.exe file from the website: https://github.com/vthinsel/GT7Proxy/releases/tag/v1.0
    • Right-click on the GT7Proxy.exe file and create a shortcut for it. In the shortcut, right-click, select Properties, at the end of the path field, add a space and then type: --ps_ip IPPLAYSTATION. EXAMPLE: "C:\Users\john\Desktop\GTPROXY\GT7Proxy.exe" --ps_ip 192.168.0.200
WHENEVER YOU WANT TO PLAY, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

    • Turn on motion and confirm that it is communicating with SimTools (for example, do a test of movements through the game engine(V2.6) or in the game's own tab (V3.0)).
    • Open the game on the video game console and leave it on the main screen.
    • Run the shortcut you created (GT7Proxy). This will display a screen containing telemetry data being loaded.
    • If a firewall permission message appears, give permission for access to everything (local and public network).
    • Open SimTools in the installed plugin tab, locate the GT7 plugin and double-click it to play.
    • Enter the race and start playing.
NOTE: If the shortcut presents a timeout error, then there may be a network problem or a firewall block on Windows. Confirm that the video game's IP address is correct in the shortcut. If it is correct, then you can do the following:

    • Reset the Windows firewall settings and restart the computer. Then, test and confirm authorization when the firewall asks again.
    • Confirm that your router and computer are on the same network and IP range.
    • If it still does not work, it may be a block on your router. You can reset the router or use another isolated router with its own IP range and DHCP enabled. Even if it is not connected to the internet, you can still test it. Just connect it to the video game console and computer, restart everything, identify which IP was assigned to the video game, open the game, and test to see if telemetry is obtained. Playing without the internet may be difficult, but you can test whether the telemetry is working, and you will identify the cause of the problem.
I was able to run this without any difficulties on my network, without needing to create rules to open ports on the firewall or router. However, I followed up on these two issues with two different friends.

    PermissionError: [WinError 10013]

    This error appears.

Since the port cannot be changed in GT7, it is meaningless to have port forwarding on the simhub.

    So,

Must be able to change the port in the SimTool plug-in or GT7Proxy before you can perform port forwarding on the SimHub.

Alternatively, you must be able to port forwarding on the simtools

The GT7 plugin for Simtools v3 available in the repository, is working with completely inverted movements. I made the correct assignment of the direction of rotation of the motors, testing each movement in the Game Asseto Corsa. These parameters I applied in the Global configuration and I could use them perfectly in several games like Project Cars and Automobilista 2 and others.. However, when applying the same global settings in GT7, I realized that all movements are reversed. Would it be possible to update this and make a corrected version of the plugin available in the Simtools v.3 console repository? To work around this, I completely reversed the direction of rotation of the engines in this game, but a correction would be interesting. thanks !!

    I solved it.

I re-created the executable by changing the port from the source code of the proxy.

    This works simultaneously with SimHub.

The DIR checkbox in Axis Assignments being checked orange or not determines which way each axis moves.

After a game update surge is now outputting a lot of random movements as well. Is there anything that can be done about this or is it just happening to me?

Happy to see some users of the plugin. In parallel of the simtool plugin, think to update the gt7proxy from the github repo. I should process data more quickly now (yes, the .exe is much larger, as it now includes optimized libraries such as pandas and numpy)
I'll check the surge issue you mentionned

Edit: I checked, and no strange behavior on my side.

Hi, I've tried several Powershell versions, Proxy files you've provided and on several PCs but I still get this.

Hopefully you can see the slider flicking from left to right for surge and sway. I've had to apply a lot of filtering but this dulls the motion.

Thanks for your work and hopefully you can help.

Thanks for the video, very helpfull ! The behavior was different with previous version of GT7 ?

I'm not that shocked with values jumping from positive to negative: going from accelerating to breaking will make a big jump from + to - values (and vice-versa). Exactly the same when you feel the kick when shifting gear , there is a very short period with sign inversion.
Same thing when changing steering direction from left to right, lateral force will change sign.
There is one thing I need to check: forces are calculated based on delta of local velocity which is calculated from world velocity. GT7 recently switched to 120Hz refresh. I need to check if this could have had an impact on telemetry date.
Personnaly, in my settings the forces bring a little contribution to the overall movements, I prefer roll/pitch/yaw.
Coud you add --csvoutput option to the command line and post here the resulting csv file (indicate the track / car used as well please) ?
    Any hints/ideas/comments anyone ?

    Hi,

I'm aware of the 'shift kick' and the reverse force on steering when you straighten up but these are happening without speed or directional changes such as mid corner or on just acceleration. Here's a video of it on our motion system.

I think sway had the issue then but surge certainly didn't. It's only recently surge changed as you can see.

You can also see we set it up to use surge for acceleration and only use pitch where the track or car uses it. The same for roll where we use sway for sway.

I'm now away until Tuesday so I'll post the CSV file next week, thanks.
