Ugh! I'm so close but I still feel so far... I got the 10k post (pic 2 & 6) on and started trying the SMC3 utility process again set all the values accordingly, while the motor is power off (3). However the value on PWMmax is empty (on zero). Nothing is happening on the motor nor any sound. I'm clicking the plus sign on PWMmax but it wont change. I turn off the first motor and turn on the 2nd motor. This time 2nd is humming but not responding when I turn up the PWMmax to 99.

I turned off the 2nd motor and reversed the polarity (pic 5) and turn it back on but outcome still the same. The motor is just humming. Please help! Thank you!

Now I'm a little concern about the IBT2, if it's still any good. But no idea how will I know if it's good or not. Please advise. It's getting late. It's time for me to stop trying, I'm stuck anyway.:(

Also, I've noticed on SMC3, the Fpwm and PWMmax are blank. I was trying to click the + sign. It's not responding. Is this nornal? Or this could be part of the problems why the game engine is not running correctly?

Just an observation on your SMC3 settings, as they should be fully sorted before messing with SimTools, Kp likely needs to be increased and PWM min/max/rev need to be set, see the explanation here: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/#post-48121

If SMC3 PWM min/max/rev interface settings are not responding as expected that needs to be sorted first. If necessary reinstall the SMC3 app.

Once SMC3 is sorted, grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

The proper Interface Type has to be selected from the drop down and then appropriately configured.

There are further settings tips and tricks in the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-settings-tips-and-tricks.18/category

In particular check out the tips concerning refining a motion profile: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Before I reinstall the SCM3, may I ask if I'm using the correct version of the Utility? Actually, my next plan is use a different PC and download all the necessary software there to see if this will resolve the SCM3 utility/blank interface issues.

For some reasons, my friend and I are stocked with whatever the SCM3 is showing on this utility: upload_2023-4-21_9-1-13.png

I've installed the latest SMC3Utils v1.01 and the SimTools apps on my newer pc. I was able to adjust the setting on PWM min/max/rev. Unfortunately, I'm still getting blank Interface Setting on the Game Engine. Please advise.

Grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference, in particular with respect to Interface Settings, which are configured manually depending on the hardware used: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

Then see the SMC guide, which includes the SMC3 SimTools interface settings: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

    Simtools Setup

Setup for Simtools 2 is very straight forward:

    Interface Type - Serial

ComPort = the Arduino ComPort, you can find it in Windows Device Manager.

    BitsPerSec - 500000

    Data Bits - 8

    Parity - None

    Stop Bit -1

    Output Bit Range - 10

    Output Type - Binary

    Interface Output for 2DOF) - [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>]

Have you got your rig sorted and do you have updated pictures or perhaps a video of your completed rig in action?

No, not yet. My Interface Setting still blank. I assumed I need license key to keep going?

No you don't need a license for testing, the fully functional Live For Speed plugin is included in the SimTools demo version and all SimTools settings should work.

Lets see if we can get you going. What is in the Interface Type drop down if you click on it?

If there are no options in the Interface Type drop down when clicked on then your SimTools install is balked, likely because of interference by other security programs.

If that is the case uninstall SimTools, temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall, reinstall SiomTools and test, if OK, re-enable your antivirus and firewall.

Axis Assignments will come later, first you need to configure SimTools interface settings for your particular hardware.

I didn't realize that I need to click the drop down window on the Interface Type. I selected the "Serial" Wow! Everything looks good now. Thank you sir!
