So you suggest me to swicth to v3 beta? This will be a good new starting point, because I have a new SSD and I wanted to install all fresh.

Had some problems with both f1 22 and dirt rally 2 tonight on my 3dof diy rig. This was in simtools v3 beta.
F1 22 was giving a jittery motion with the motors. I have read of others who have experienced this earlier in this thread. I also noticed my traction loss was out.
It was all working fine a few days ago but this was odd. I uninstalled the patch, and as others have explained, I closed simtools, then reopened and reinstalled the patch. Whilts this worked, it is definitely behaving differently from last week, much more jittery and I had to switch the surge direction as this had changed too. I still can't get traction loss back.
If anyone can help that would be great.
I do need to ask about udp port numbers too. I'm struggling to understand this somewhat.
So many different ports are mentioned through the conversation threads that it leaves a newbie a bit lost. If anyone is able to explain simply I would be grateful for that too. For example. F1 22 do I have type 4123, 5123, 20777 or 20778 in the box on simtools? Do I select a different udp within the f1 22 telemetry settings or the same one?
If I use simhub too, does that need to be on a different port setting than the one used in f1 22?
I'm sorry if this seems a really basic question but I have tried to read all the threads on this but I still can't quite get my head around it.

You don't have to type anything buddy, as the plugin patches correctly for output.

    Hi dear xsimulator community,

I’ve been enjoying this f1 22 plugin since its release. It was the first game I played using my seatmover.
I found it hard to configure properly to sense exactly what the car was doing but went with it anyway and felt the difference for sure...
But I recently tried the asseto corsa plugin and was mindblown by what my rig could actualy simulate..!
That made me realise that no matter what simtool setup i tried i would never get close to that result because
In fact it appears that roll and pitch (input using degrees) are not working on f1 22.
I thought they were, but it was only the mix of surge and sway inputs (those using acceleration/decelaration) that tricked me Into thinking so.
After checking: If i roll on a curb nothing happens. Same with hills and curves... what could be the solution?

I just wish i could have the same result i get in AC!

Thanks, that shows there is roll data, so the plugin is working, rather it is a question of refining your SimTools settings.

It is important to initially do one axis at a time, before enabling them all and refining further, see the tuning tips in the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

    Ok thank you,
I have to say I don’t understand much of the tuning center although I’ve read all the FAQ and manuals I could find but I can’t realy wrap my head arround that tool... (maybe that’s also because I’m not a native speaker)
For exemple I don’t understand how to capture and implement my input datas, Or what « gain »and « washout » options are doing...
I don’t Even know the diference between « Roll » and « «roll rate » To begin with

nevertheless I’ve tested a few things in the tuning center:

I have drasticaly increased the sinsitivity on « roll » and can now feel the Biggest kerbs. But On the down side it also exagerates the more suttle curves...
I have the same problem with surge where if I boost the sensitivity I can feel the accelaration and the shifting but then the braking Movement becomes way too violent...

since it’s so perfect on AC without realy tweeking anything, could this be the telemetry of f122 being weird..?

With AC it is more a case that the plugin default settings better suit your rig.

Try and follow the FAQ tuning Tips: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

And post pictures of all of your settings so others can make suggestions for changes.

Think of it this way, the Axis allocation is how the range of movement possible is split up and assigned to each axis. The bigger the Tuning Center value the gentler the response, but over a larger axis range, while the smaller the value the faster and more intense the result. Larger values are usually found in flight profiles, smaller values often for race cars. A value can also be below 1 in the TC. I often end up with a small heave axis assignment of 10 or less and a TC value less than 1.

Alright, here are some screenshots of my current settings for both f122 and AC.
I captured my inputs in both games (see on the tuning centers screenshots) while doing a lap on silverstone.

I somehow managed to get a better acceleration/shifting/braking effect closer to the one I have in AC.
The roll effect is however still unsatisfying as I can't seem to get a good kerb/bump feel without overexagerating the cambers of the track...

    Any advice?

Thanks already for your time and help.

A good kerb/bump is not just about roll, it initially involves pitch up mounting the kerb, heave as a kerb often have ripple strips, roll and then pitch down.

My guess, which may be off, is that for both games try initial axis allocations along the lines of surge 20, roll and pitch 25, sway 30 and heave 10.

Capture TC Max/Mins, then initially tweak each axis one at a time, then turn them all on and tweak further, see the Tuning tips in the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

If settings are right, the F22 Plugin does work with F23 for me :)

UDP Host: 127.0.0.1 with Port 4123, Data Format 2022 works fine :)
