Hi, I was wondering if you're still playing the simulator? I would like to ask how this software is connected to the game? My FlyPT is not connected to the game.

Hi, is there a way to limit a DOF not symetrical ? for example -25° pitch +15 ? thanks

There may be another way to do this, but you could achieve this using a remap filter. For example, remap the incoming values using something like REMAP(VALUE;-100;100;-100;60).

Edit - actually, no, scratch that - that would change your centre point, use Maxcrop instead!

I use Maxcrop and mincrop but does'nt really work for surge in ptch for example. I would like not to go after -15° so I have to limit to 10 and 5 for example, where I would like -15 and -15, but sum of 2 are -15° max

If you use 'Pose from motion' you could set up a separate filter for 'Pitch' than 'Mix surge in pitch'. Though maybe I'm misunderstanding your setup.

Yes thats what I do for now, but I want to filter the sum of both too, and I can't use mincrop on the sum. For example if I have no pitch, I can use more "surge in pitch"

You could use max/min crop on both and then alter the 'Out Gain' to have the desired degree of 'Mix surge in pitch'

Flypt Mover will only move if you have enough capability in your rig left, i.e. if you are fully pitched to +15, you can't pitch more with 'Mix surge in pitch' if your rig has no physical potential to do so. Whereas if you are pitched forward +5 out of a max of +15, you can 'Mix surge in pitch' another +10 on top of the pitch movement.

If you have your rig correctly measured and setup in FlyPT, the 3D visualizer is useful - you can move the sliders and see where movements will be cropped (The attachments turn red).

I don't think there is any way to dynamically change the amount of 'Mix surge in pitch' to increase or decrease the effect depending on the amount of 'Pitch' already used.

I would like to try FlyPT-Mover with my M4S controller, but the option to add this as output is not selectable
    Screenshot_20230920_121913.png
In this video there is OUTPUT:M4S. Do I need to install anything else to be able to use this?

Hi Klaus, we've chatted on discord. I don't know why it is not selectable, but I have a suggestion. If you look for online profiles within mover, you can find settings uploaded by Motion4sim. I just found this serial configuration. Maybe it helps.

    Hi Avee,
I was able to set up an M4S output:
    Screenshot_20230922_161221.png
It reacts to movements of the "In/Out value" sliders in the "POSE :: FROM MOTION" window (I can see the bytes changing accordingly in the Debug section). However, the M4S controller doesn't receive any data. COM3 is definitely the correct port, and it works just fine with YAME. So I guess it's just some stupid mistake of mine that I'm missing...

Try the output string in my screenshot above. It is different.

It also seems that it feeds M4S directly with a pose, not with values for individual motors like you would do on DOFReality. So it seems you don't need to define a rig. (You can take "just pose" and check the boxes for the poses it should pass through)

Yes, it was a silly Copy/Paste mistake I made :-\.
There were three <255> at the beginning, while it should be only two.
After removing the superfluous one, it all works fine :).
    Sorry for the noise.

Hi, I read your conversation. it's easy to help. In the instructions for the controller there are 2 modes described for sending the data. I would like to explain it briefly. A serial output is used with 250,000 kbaud 8n1. The 2 modes are a direct mode where the motor positions are calculated in the mover rig modules and then sent to the controller. the output string for it looks like this.

the other mode is position mode. Here the motor positions are calculated in the controller. For this it is necessary to program the geometry of the rig into the controller. This is easy to do with our software analogous to Mover. Mover then only sends the position of the rig to the controller. So simply use the Rig::Just Pose and then send the scaled values from the pose to the controller.

you can connect to me if you need more help. on the github are also some example files for mover

    Hi,

I have a dumb question but I don't understand how "Home value" function works ?

    upload_2023-9-25_21-18-20.png

I thought that it was the starting point but changing it doesn't work.

    Thanks for your help
