turns out the shortcut I was using to run simtools v3 was creating the problem... dont know how or why, but recreating the shortcut solved the problem.

In V3, can I save Min/Max Tuning into file for backup?

Yes, go to the Options page, then click the Export Wizard button at the bottom right of the page.
Then select a Game Plugin, then select the game plugin you want to backup, then select a Custom Game Plugin. (with at least the Motion option added like in the pic below)

    upload_2023-9-20_19-24-5.png

This will export the game plugin with all of it's profiles intact.
You can simply drag-drop the backed up plugin into the main gui at any time to re-install.
Let me know how it goes buddy. :thumbs

Does Global Settings also saved in that exported file?

The Global settings get saved into, and then re-installed from, the setup file.

You can go back into the export section, and export a setup plugin (just click next on the options page to leave everything as default, as they are now).
Then if you ever want to re-setup SimTools v3, just like you have it working now, you simply:
    1) Install SimTools v3.
    2) Drag-drop your setup file into the main gui.
    3) Drag-drop your custom game plugin into the main gui.
All done - your ready to play, with no settings to configure at all.

Let me know if you have any more questions buddy.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

The log will not show up until the next time you update, because it is not there until after you install this update.
You can view the changelog at https://simtools.us/simtools-changelog/.
You can also access this from the link on the SimTools website downloads-links page.

hello everyone! iam totaly new to simtools v3 and motion in general. I want to ask if it is possible to install plugins like project cars 1 and 2 ? Repo is Nj motion, because i have a seatmover from them (compact r seatmover).
Or can i import plugins from anywhere to Simtools version 3?

Because in the pluginmanager there are just a few games like dirt rally 2.0 or Asetto Corsa Competitzione...
but no Project Cars which is little bit confusing to me.

    Thank you!

    Question regarding the Limit travel.

Which way to proper to max out the travel ?
    - By a Sensitivity.
    - Axis Limitting.
    - Percentage Axis Assignment.
    - Or in SMC3 stuff.

The initial range and hardware configuration should primarily be set in SMC3.

But the range of travel is just one aspect, it is far more important that the travel is fast and accurate.

I will try configuring again later.

My rig is responsive and accurate to what game do, especially when on bump, kerb, run through gravel, etc (small stuff that I run through) . But I can't fell the pitch and roll much. I can feel heave with only 20% assignment.

You can fine tune your settings editing Max/Min Game Limits under Min/Max Tuning tab.
To manual change values press Capture, edit the values, Save, then Stop

EDIT: or use the sliders (but I can't stand not rounded numbers like 5,87564389. :D so I manually input them so it would be 6 or 5,5 or 5,75. Yes I know, I have problems...)

At last, it seems I managed to get some more details where previously I can't felt it. As I used gearing for potentiometer, I changed the ratio of it and now some details more pronounced. Also, I did another axis calibration after change the ratio.

I have gotten Iracing to work just fine, I have about nine racing games. I have only downloaded one other and that is Project Cars 3 so far into the V3. But no matter what I try I can't get it to work in the game. My setting do work when I test them but nothing with my chair in the game. Project Cars 3 does work in the older version of simtools?

Did you turn on the shared memory in the game? See here:

Hello, I downloaded and installed SimTools 3, it was very informative, I quickly figured out the settings, but when I connected my 2DOF test platform, the axes shifted from the central position by 40 percent in pitch. I tried to fix it in the settings but nothing worked. Works well in SimTools earlier versions
