Compact Full frame, 2Dof with TL

    I use them to minimalize the backlash... but it costed me some time to find the best place on my chassis, so always place them and check if the backlash decreased..
    I have placed them now parallel to the engine levers*works best for me... Also played with the damper settings... I have turned them so, that they supply more friction.
    Also to minimalize the backlash, I made sure that each bolt in the movement (lever, engine etc).. was very tight and without any friction.
    The engines always have some play, as they are gearbased, but now I can play with very little play on the movement.

    Thanks bro, i'm waiting to receive my dampers, do you have issue with movement like its kill some feel?, are the damper strong enough to push the weight of the rig!?, i asked few days ago in my forms but only one answered and not about my question, will appreciate if you take a look , Thanks bro i really got big knowledge from your diy .

    I spend lots of time to balance my rig perfectly when I sit in it... So without motors and dampers attached, when I sit in it, I can move it with 1 finger.I do not use springs...as balancing did the job enough...
    This was very important to reduce the Backlash...as the harder the motor pulls/pushes...the stronger the backlash will feel...
    So after that...I attached the levers of the motors...made sure that in all bolts, zero movement is in...(by the way, I swap the bolts each quarter, as they get a small amount of play in it)....
    Finally I tried several positions of the dampers. These dampers do not work like a car hood damper(with own force in it)... these just reduce/damp the up down movement.... so when attached parrallel to the levers... it damps also the first mm of potential play in the motor....
    Backlash 100% reducing is almost impossible...but it is almost gone at my rig...

    And play with the settings....I have reduced the movement speed...my motors were too powerfull and the movement was too bumpy/aggressive
