Hi @miketunes, I just used some miscellaneous nylon staps with velcro that I had lying around. You could use a belt or something like that.

I know the braking servo goes in front on the wood, so I can use a nylon strap to connect to that servo, but where does the other end of the nylon strap go - attached to the seat itself somehow?

I assume the headband would go to a servo directly on a rear chair leg. Basically the same as the shoulder belts.

I just use the staps to pull down on the front of my thighs to push my legs down into the seat on braking. The straps aren't attached to the chair; they just go around the top of the thighs.

Ahh.. makes sense, I must have totally missed that part about the thighs. Did you guide the headband strap through one of the holes in the top back of the chair and down to one of the legs?

Yes, I ran a thin rope from the servo in the back of the chair through one of the seat belt holes at the top of the chair and then clipped it to the headband.

I'm working on the simtools software now. I see your custom code from 11/17/2020. Where do I enter that, I assume I need to add an interface first?

That code gets installed to an Arduino Uno.

Can you point me to how to do that? I thought it used simtools - I have that the Arduino connected to my pc with a USB cable and simtools installed. Nothing detected in simtools yet, I assume I need to enter the code or setup an interface option first?

You need to get, install and properly configure the Arduino IDE to connect and write the code to the the Uno: https://docs.arduino.cc/software/id...ted/ide-v2-downloading-and-installing#windows

Then grab the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

The Interface Settings must be correctly configured for the specific code, including the correct com port for the Arduino.

Then the Default Axis Assignment profile should be configured and tested in Output Settings.

You also need to start your own build thread and ask all related questions there, not on the build thread of another member.
