Hi All, I'm using Simtools 3, been using it with Assetto Corsa, F1 2023 and it all works very well.
Now comes FS2020.....I just cannot dial it in, I've used the tuning tool, I've set my limits much lower to what people suggest, I have even turned the profile intensity down to 40 but my simulator is sooooo sensitive and if things go wrong it pretty much throws me off my seat....
    Roll 50
    Pitch 30
    Surge 20
    Sway 10
    Smoothing 100 on all axis
    Anti Roll on all axis

    Any help appreciated

Please post pictures of all of your settings, including Max/Min while the game is running.

My guess is the Max/Min values need to be captured and then refined.

I would suggest not using smoothing until after the base profile is as good as it can be, as it will just complicate basic axis tuning.

May I suggest trying axis allocations of 80% for roll and pitch, then Capture Max/Min values. Let us know if that is smoother.

Hi, I'll give it a go, what confuses me a little is that will take the total axis to 190, I keep seeing people being told those sorts of figures are way too high and should be nearer 130 max. Am I getting confused or missing something.

    Thanks Richard

With a GA flight sim it is unlikely all axis will be maxed out at the same time, which is very different to a race sim, so you can often get away with higher axis allocations.

So I set roll and pitch to 80% and ran the tuning tool again.
It's like going down the rapids, also far too much amount of movement when it moves, almost tips over, nothing I do seems to settle it down, posted latest settings, any further suggestions on how to tame flightsim beast, as I said it great when racing.....

Try setting the Max/Min to 100 for everything, does that smooth it out? If so work on one axis at a time and lower the value until satisfied.

Hi, thanks for your advise so far, I haven't done this yet, just trying to get my head round what the setting does, assuming you mean setting the Axis limiting all to 100%, so the higher the setting the more limiting it is?
Also I have found that when I change these settings they don't seem to save, I'll set it all to 100% which is fine while Simtools is open, the next time I come to use it, the settings have reverted back to the image shown previously, I haven't set these...?

No, I mean set Max/Min to 100, in the tuning center, the higher the value there the smoother the motion reaction, over a greater axis range.

    Arggghhhhhhhhh.......
FS2020 is unplayable, I just don't know what I am doing wrong, or maybe I'm not doing anything wrongs and its just the data from the game, see attached pictures, set limits so high and still its like a riding a bucking bronco...

Can you please post a video showing the rig, with FS2020 playing windowed, and the Max/Min values at the same time.

Hi, so see attached videos, it was set on AI pilot for takeoff....As you can see it is hideous and scary....
Hi, I'd like to test the Sim using Simtools 2.6 which I also have installed and licenced as DIY, are you able to provide the plugin so I can test?

I am not sure what video you are referring to, this is how you can insert a video into a post: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/insert-a-video-into-a-post.257/

I was thinking, maybe the issue is with the SMC3 settings, attached the settings I use for comment.

    Thanks Richard
