I've been away from simming for almost 2 years, but I'm back to messing around with DCS. I installed Simtools V3, and I'm setting it up for the F18 on my SFX100 based 4 dof.

I'm using Pitch and Roll rates. How can I "ramp up" the rates, so the jet isn't so jumpy around the center? Smoothing doesn't seem to do it, but I do need to spend more time with it. It seems that small corrections are giving me large inputs on the rig. I would think that Tuning Center would work in this manner, but it doesn't seem to be giving the desired effect.

Can you please post pictures of your settings, including the Tuning Center while the game is running.

    I got it sorted.

I didn't realize the road/cloud picture thing. I was tuning ground rates.

I'm trying to get the rig to really tilt aggressively fore/aft when recovering/launching from a carrier.

Very low surge values work great, but give me a ton of vibration and noise just sitting on the carrier.

Any suggestions? I've maxed dead zone, and used a ton of smoothing but this also seems to dull the effect I want.

I am guessing the SimTools v3 ground vs air settings on the Max/Min page should apply, if needs be a manual Max/Min value can also be applied:
