    Hey all,

Its been a bit since I've used my rig, and when I sat down and tried to get things fired up, Sim tools gave the error that Sim tools lost connection with the actuators and needs to restart.

I checked my com ports, rebooted the machine a couple times and eventually got into the TBVST software and all three actuators were in alarm error mode, and that there is a mismatch between the stroke actual location and where it should be. Error E0: data mismatch.

I messed around with my parameters trying to see what the problem is and feel like it somehow hosed up my setting and I don't know how to reset the actuator parameters so everything reads correctly.

I hate having to re-learn how to tweak everything to make sure it works right.

I don't know if something took out my drivers/amp for the SCN6 or if its something else. My next step is to plug each actuator into a different laptop separately and see if its a wiring issue, update issue, or windows issue. If it was one actuator I would think maybe I fried a driver, but I don't know how else to start trouble shooting this thing.

Windows 11 23h2, and I can't upgrade past this or I lose my HP reverb G2

quick update. It looks like my settings for each actuator are way off. It is showing that the SCN6 have 400mm of stroke which is twice as much as they have. When I tried to change to setting I keep getting a com port error. I am trying to download X-sim as this has a config for SCN actuators built in natively and allows a person to mod the parameters there. Otherwise I am unsure of how to fix settings within each one, much less how they all three got changed and effectively made useless. If anyone has any thoughts let me know

I have not used SCNs or the associated dyadic software.

I do know the dyadic software for SCNs is no longer available via the original link (see the old post), but expect it likely is if you search the net or ask Xsimulator members, as I believe it allows you to reset SCN actuators and may be useful in your circumstances: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...-scn5-actuator-with-simtools.5031/#post-83342

Thanks Noorbeast. The software has been moved and is available: from https://miraiintertech.com/download-final/

If you could update the scn sticky that'd be good I think.

Also, the problem turned out to be power instability, and or communication related. All three driver amps kept getting thrown into alarm mode due to incorrect tracking when a movement command was given.

The settings were correct, they are 400mm scn6 actuators, but I can't tell what model etc since the guy who built it, put stickers over the factory labels.....or that happened before he got the actuators. I cannot imagine how much he paid for them. 400mm seems like a lot of movement compared to what others are using for their builds
