    Hi
I've recently managed to attach threaded rods to my 50:1 gearboxes
With a combo of spotty welding and loctight
The levers are set level when the power is on or off the top frame is level and the hall effect pots are fine tuned

The problem I'm facing is the manufacturer only produces right hand gearboxes
So when I use the free software the right side tracks along both axis where as the left side tracks ok along the x but the y seems flipped down is up and vice versa

My question is when I purchase a license can I just flip the direction of the left motor in the software?
I see 1 post on a thread that showed a check box for this

    Hope someone can enlighten me
    I feel I'm getting close

    Kind regards
    Maty

In SimTools the Dir box being checked orange or not determines which way each axis moves, so yes you can set it in software but you can also test it with LFS.

    Thanx so much NB
Need to work out a better method to mount my motors as the force is more than I anticipated
Also I had the top 2 track rod ends bolted through the back of the seat frame when I think they should be bolted in the same orientation as the bottom ones pointing in from the sides
I'll try and post some pics soon

Thanx again for all your support

Ok so can I set axis and test the rig using the demo of sim tools or do I need to purchase a license to test
I was under the understanding that I could use sim tools in demo mode with lfs plugin before purchasing a license
I know the free license has been discontinued

Please see the actual SMC3 thread: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

    Simtools Setup

Setup for Simtools 2 is very straight forward:

    Interface Type - Serial

ComPort = the Arduino ComPort, you can find it in Windows Device Manager.

    BitsPerSec - 500000

    Data Bits - 8

    Parity - None

    Stop Bit -1

    Output Bit Range - 10

    Output Type - Binary

    Interface Output - [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>]

Also note LFS must be run before it is patched for motion: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...run-in-first-person-mode-before-patching.365/
