You make a great argument. Maybe prudent to be a bit skeptical.

The website says 2024 production has been sold out.. maybe we could find someone actually bought a dev-kit and get some feedback on the kit?

Well I found a buzzword laden press release https://www.ark-dynamics.com/ark-dynamics-unveils-emotionally-intelligent-motion-simulation/

So I used the contact address below the press release to get some questions answered directly, rather than speculating on this forum. This is the reply that I got:

All smoke and mirrors. They work with "top neuroscientists and psychologists" but all there is is a website and not even a working mail address. The company registration is through an agency, the website is through a hosting company. But you can leave your credit card downpayment and there is a contact form.

Well.. I put in an reservation before I read your posts.. and have been deducted the $300. I guess I'll be your guineapig for this rig and company. ;-)

Well you can wait it out until the credit card company refund period to reverse fraudulent charges expires.....

If you can get any more details about this, I would be very interested. Since the Yaw VR 2 fiasco I am not upfronting any payment for future superstar devices. Yaw VR is a honest company which wasted all their crowdfunding capital despite the best intentions. Ark Dynamics for now is just a website....

I am sending an email to an adress on the reservation-confirmation. Hopefully this will get a reponse.

And yes, I'll definively go through my Mastercard and have the payment refunded if I do not get a reply soon.

I finally got a reply from Ark Dynamics.

"Thanks for your interest and pre order. We are alive and getting ready to launch ARK.
As we ramp up, expect updates on our website and socials."

..so my order is still in, and I will proceed with the if they offer med a dev-kit.
